Contact us to get more information! The space Please note that the property can sleep up to 19 guests in beds, although the Airbnb ad only allows for up to 16 guests. If you would like to accommodate additional guests, please contact the host to arrange for extra payment. Start your day by sipping your favorite beverage on the spacious safety glass paneled deck, or relax at the large 8-chaired dining table while enjoying the panoramic water view through the wall of south-facing windows. The smell of salt air accompanies the sight of bald eagles, osprey, blue herons, ducks, sea otters, and other wildlife. At night, enjoy the unfettered view of the stars accompanied by the sound of sea birds in this quiet retreat. As you enter the home, your eyes will be drawn across the beautiful white oak flooring to the stunning water view beyond. The open concept main floor is perfect for entertaining, featuring a welcoming sunken living room, connected dining area, and spacious kitchen with a center island, plenty of counter space, and cupboards. The bright kitchen has easy access to the deck and barbecue area through the mudroom. A new reverse osmosis water treatment system provides you with fresh, filtered water and ice. The main floor also includes two large bedrooms (one with bunk beds and a crib), a full bath, and a laundry room. Climb up the winding stairs to find a spacious, romantic loft-style master suite with a terrace overlooking the water. Walk through a large open closet to the connected ensuite, which features a 6-foot long extra deep soaking tub, a double vanity, and a huge glass shower. The spacious finished basement is a fun space for adults and children alike, with carpet throughout. The den offers a play oasis for younger guests, and the expansive home theater includes a large TV, theater screen, and surround sound system, allowing you to enjoy the experience of a cinema in the comfort of your own home. Around the corner are two bedrooms (one with an ocean view), a bathroom with a shower, and plenty of closet space. Relax in this paradise, swim and surf in the ocean, have lunch at a nearby café on top of a hill, walk the trails, and take pictures of coastal birds and wildlife, or explore the cities. Saltwater Hideaway is also the perfect backdrop for all your content creation needs. Guest access Guests have full access to the home and yard, no access to the on-property cottage, garage/clinic. The driveway is shared with the on-property cottage and veterinary clinic. Improvements to the home's property and exterior may require workers to be present between the hours of 10am and 4pm. The fire pit and outdoor kitchen are shared amenities with the on-property cottage. Please be mindful of the comfort of other guests on the property when using these amenities. Due to the excessive amount of time required to service the swim spa combined with the high draw on electricity required to run the swim spa, it will be offered at a cost of $75/per night for the entirety of your stay. If the swim spa gets high use during your stay, it will need treatment. If you are not willing to treat the water yourself (with host guidance), service can be arranged in advance at a cost of $80. Other things to note There is great interest in this property as a wedding and other get-together venue. The prices for weddings and get-togethers are higher than listed prices. Please contact owner to request pricing. Wedding décor on property is available for rent if used in your wedding and can be shown on a tour of the property. Please provide an accurate accounting of the number of guests and visitors to this property. If more people come than expected, please notify owner. This property is promoted as an event center, and the base nightly rate includes 4 people in the event that small groups book the property with each additional guest (staying more than 6 hours) above 4 and every visitor to the property (staying less than 6 hours) being charged extra for above the base nightly rate. Use of the barbecue is free. However, you are required to do your own cleanup after use of the barbecue. Alternatively, you may opt to pay the $50 surcharge to have my cleaners provide the service. Saltwater Hideaway is more of an ocean view than a swimming property. The shoreline is classic rustic Nova Scotia, with rocks and seaweed along much of its length - beautiful, but not ideal for swimming.
