We don’t recommend swimming as the current can be quite fast, but it is fantastic for boating, fishing, and other water activities. If you choose to swim, it's safest to do so during the turn of the high tide when the water is still and deep. You can easily check tide times by searching "tide chart Spencer. It is also unwise to swim at sunset and sunrise (unwise for any saltwater areas in Australia), when sharks may be most active. There has not been a reported shark attack in the area since the 1920’s but there have been reports of juvenile bull sharks in the Hawkesbury River. The pontoon is on the small size, it is recommended to hold a boat no more than 5-6 metres, Boat ramps: You can launch your boat at Spencer, or Wisemans Ferry. . Other things to note Anna A: December 2022 We were very lucky to find such a gem at such short notice! From the moment we parked, we felt like we were in our own little oasis. The cottage was beautifully furnished with everything you would need for a great time away. We spent most of our time soaking up the beautiful views on the lower deck and enjoying the BBQ in the upstairs deck where we had the forest behind us and the river in front. If you are after a nature escape in a beautiful cottage, then this beautiful cottage should be high on your consideration list! Lina Lee: January 2023 Relaxing, comfortable and a nice change of scenery and pace. Really enjoyed the stay. Tiffany Poultney: January 2023 Gorgeous cottage comfortable and beautifully designed with décor, and organic linens. A fabulous deck. It’s better than the photographs we felt, and The Anchor Café was a great place for coffee and food not far away. Thank you. From organic wheat farmers. A lot of thought has gone into the cottage, and you have nailed it. Maybe a long mirror just because I’m a woman but it was beautifully designed and the amenities spit on, coffee machine, kitchen living areas and bedroom were fabulous. The deck was amazing, and all the extra touches made it a pleasure. Especially organics. Sharlene Shariff: January 2023 Wow, what an amazing location to spend our weekend. This lovely Airbnb hosted by Nathan was extremely beautiful. It felt like a little home away from home. Everything was clean and very organised, which I absolutely loved. The surrounding and view of this place was super tranquil. We spent most of our time absorbing the view. Michelle Kovac : February 2023 What a gem we found from Airbnb. We highly recommend any couples who want to have romantic and private times. Amazing view and a lovely cottage. We love it and would love to come back :) Ben Doyle : February 2023 Nice place to get away for the weekend. Very nice extra’s and hidden gems of love and care right through the house.
