Description

Fantastic large group property right in the heart of the UK! Former pub/hotel superbly converted to provide an unique & extremely spacious self catering accommodation for large groups between 30 and 40. Superb location for the Peak District with sights of Lady Bower Reservoir, Derwent Valley, Edale & Castleton. Sleeps up to 40 in 16 bedrooms & 13 en suites or bathrooms Sorry but this is a strict no dogs venue. Fabulous family holiday house, not a party venue. The space A deceptively spacious venue set over three floors, with the ground floor offering an abundance of interconnecting rooms. The 16 bedrooms are spaciously shared over the first and second floor with one bunk bed room being on the ground floor. You enter the property to the side of the building via an entrance porchway which leads to a hallway taking you passed some downstairs toilets and onto the large dining room with tables that can seat up to 40 if the tables are split. To the front of the property are the two lounges, keeping the original charm of the former pub with some window seating alongside comfy chairs and sofas, great spaces for unwinding at the end of the day and watching everyday life pass by in the village. Across the hallway is the main feature of the house - the original bar area. Stock the bar area to your liking and recreate the days this venue was once a busy village pub. The pub has bar stools around the bar, drink fridges and plenty of glassware making it an unique and fun part of your stay. The games room leads from this room with darts board and pool table and there is a separate table football located in the hallway. To the far end of the property is the kitchen, laid out to provide a preparation area in the utility room and a cooking area in the main kitchen. Well equipped with 2 electric ovens, 2 tall fridges and 2 tall freezers, 3 dishwashers and plenty of crockery / cutlery and cooking utensils. There is a bunk bed room on the ground floor with en suite plus access to outside. On the 1st floor you have 9 bedrooms, a couple of the larger rooms have the option to sleep up to 4 guests with use of bunk beds or a single bed, 4 of the rooms have their own en suite and there are 3 shared bathrooms. Most of the bedrooms can be made up to be a twin room or a double. On the 2nd floor are a further 6 bedrooms. 3 bedrooms can sleep either 3 or 4 with use of additional bunk beds or a single bed. The other 3 rooms can only be twin beds or bunk beds, there are 4 en suites and a shared bathrooms. The outdoor space offers a patio area with 6 seater picnic benches, a BBQ, lawn area with children's small play area and a large carpark that can fit 20 cars easily. Guest access Exclusive use of the whole property Other things to note Sleeps 40 guests. Most bedrooms offers flexible options that can be made up as twins or doubles so you can pick and choose your layout to suit. You need to have made your request two weeks in advance as the beds cannot be changed upon arrival as there is no staff on site. We provide each guest with fresh towels. Plenty of private parking in a gated car park, easily accepting 20 cars If you are looking for a relaxing stay in the Peak District with plenty of country pursuits but are not looking for a party venue, this is the ideal property for your stay. We also accept well behaved Hen/Stag groups but please be mindful that it is in a village location. Please note that this property is a strict no dogs venue, we are afraid. For the comfort of all guests, outdoor shoes are not generally worn on the carpeted area of the house, so don’t forget your slippers! Noise Policy - due to the quiet location, late-night noise must be confined to inside the building by 10pm as neighbours are in close proximity. Please respect this. No fireworks, drones or Chinese Lanterns; you are on the edge of a National Park with wildlife and livestock close by. Wifi – we provide free wifi however, as the Peak District is in a beautiful rural location, sometimes there can be intermittent wifi signal that is beyond our control; we also hope you appreciate that we cannot guarantee wifi if there are technical issues out of our control. Please bring your own cot bed linen as this is not provided
