The space The cabin is situated on a little hill above Gullvang gård, a small farm about 8 kilometers south of Stonglandseidet. If you arrive by car you can park here. From the farm, a walking trail takes you to the cabin. The surrounding landscape is excellent for hiking. From the cabin you can reach the top of the mountain Stangnesfjellet (about 1 hour walking) where you will see the whole peninsula. In the winter, this place also offers the perfect spot to view the aurora. You can also walk down to the coast, where you will find some nice beaches. If you drive to the end of the road, (about 3-4 kilometers) you find a walking path that takes you along the coast to Hofsøy. In the late summer and autumn this is a perfect place to look for berries and mushroom. If there is enough snow (in winter) you can easily go skiing directly from the cabin. Sometimes you can connect to a ski trail if the conditions are good.
