Enjoy the tranquility of the forest and the simple life in Finnskogen, approx. 1 h and 45 min drive from Oslo. Simple family-friendly forest cabin located undisturbed by a lake. Here you can fish, swim and stand on SUP boards about ten meters from the cabin, or warm up in a wood-fired hot tub. The cabin has a simple standard. There is sleeping space for eight people in two bedrooms, but for a comfortable stay no more than six adults are recommended. The space The cabin has electricity and water, but no shower (outdoor shower in summer). There is a chemical toilet inside and an outdoor toilet available. Water is pumped from the lake and should not be drunk – 10 liters of drinking water will be available at the cabin. The main room includes a living room and kitchen with fireplace, dining area and streaming services (NRK, Netflix, Viaplay). Free WiFi is available, but stability may vary. The cabin sleeps eight people in two bedrooms – one in the cabin and one in an annex. The master bedroom has a double bed and bunk bed, while the annex has a bunk bed (with double lower bunk) and single bed. Family-friendly cabin with toys, games, drawing materials and outdoor toys available. The verandas offer various outdoor areas with dining areas, heat lamps and a fire pit. The cabin also has a wood-fired hottub. Dry wood is available and can be purchased in the cabin. Good swimming opportunities from your own jetty and equipment such as SUP boards and rowing boats available. Fishing opportunities both from the jetty and in the area. Nice hiking trails with good opportunities for berry and mushroom picking nearby. Guest access There is a parking space at the property. Other things to note We do not have a washing machine at the cabin and it therefore costs NOK 150 per person to borrow bed linen and towels. Firewood for the fireplace/oven is not included in the rent, but can be purchased at the cabin for NOK 120 per sack (60 L). This ensures that you always have access to dry and good firewood during your stay. We expect you to clean up after yourself, take out the garbage, empty the fridge and oven. When it comes to cleaning, we want all rooms to be vacuumed and the floor to be lightly washed. Otherwise, we want you to wash the kitchen, bathroom (incl. oven, sink and toilet) and wipe all surfaces that have become dirty. Vacuum cleaner and detergents can be found in the cabin. Alternatively, cleaning can be arranged for NOK 2,000. The same fee is charged in case of lack of cleaning. We have a cat, and pets are welcome. Parties and noise are not allowed.
