Rosario is an old monastery built with the Catholic church of Plaka in 1823 by the french consulate Louis Brest who participate to the discovery of the "Venus of Milo" and its transport to the Louvre museum in Paris. The large terrace of 80 m² gives the best amazing view of the island according all the guides, specially at sunset. Many tourists come to the Orthodox church, next to our terrace, to admire the sunset and then have dinner in one of the tavernas in the village of Plaka. The space The house has been completely renovated in 2015. 3 large monacal rooms 4 meters high have been converted in bedrooms with double beds, individual bathroom, fans and air conditioning. each of them have à exterior door along a little path/courtyard which goes from the iron portal to the main entrance at the end of the courtyard (see the photos). The living room is equipped with a convertible sofa for 2 persons. The kitchen is completely equipped with oven, microwave, washing machine, diswasher, a big fridge. The main entrance leads to a hall going to the terrace, the jewel of the house with the most magnificent view of the island according all the guides. It is a large 70 m² terrace with a veranda, a large table for 10 persons to have lunch equipped with benches of masonry all aroud the terrace. At an angle of the terrace the bench has been enlarged to a bed in masonry in order to stay, read, drink an have aperitif at sunset or sleep under the stars... Guest access All the accommodation is accessible except a small attic accessible by a wooden staircase from the largest room. It serves as a storage room, as such it is not available.
