Cosy and Artsy Walkable Uptown Home

Welcome to my quirky and cozy 125-year-old home! If you enjoy the little details of a historic home, eclectic artwork, and having high-speed wifi in a great place to work remotely, all within easy walking distance of Lake of the Isles, cool cafes, restaurants, bars, museums, shops and downtown, my place may be perfect for you. Cozy in the winter with a retro electric fireplace and brand new 55" HDTV in the living room, it also has a private back yard to enjoy the beauty of Uptown in the summer! The space My arty little home is a duplex in the heart of Uptown's Wedge neighborhood was built in 1900. You will stay in my unit which is the entire first floor, and my neighbors live upstairs. The home is located on a quiet and safe neighborhood block and has a 90 walk score as you can get everything to you need by foot! Over the years I have collected a lot of mid-century and vintage art, and my home is decorated with these items. Update as of December 2024: I have just upgraded the bed to a brand-new King-size bed with a Casper mattress. Will update the listing with new bedroom photos soon! Guest access I live in a duplex and you will have the entire main floor with one bedroom, a bathroom with a shower and clawfoot bathtub, bright formal dining room, large kitchen and cozy living room completely to yourselves. I also have a washer and dryer in the basement and detergent if you need that, and easy parking out in my driveway in the back or out on the street. I also have extremely reliable high-speed 300 mbps fiber optic wifi, which you may use during your stay and is excellent for remote work (which I did here comfortably during the first couple years of the pandemic). The basement, garage storage space, front porch and entryway hallway and back yard areas are shared with my two tenants (who are a married couple) upstairs. Occasionally you may see their cats hanging out in the entryway hallway or front porch when the weather is warm. Other things to note My home is a perfect option for a couple or one person, and I have even hosted a couple with a new little infant in the past. (My home isn't ideal for older toddlers/small children on the move, though, as I have a lot of loose and breakable decorative items and hard edges.) You could also have a third person stay as I have bedding and a very comfy foam queen-size mattress that can be set up on the carpet in front of the fireplace in the living room without too much fuss.
