The perfect Champlain Island getaway! Storybook cottage is an enchanting little spot located on “Point of the Tongue” - a narrow strip of land that juts down into Lake Champlain from Canada. One hour north to Montreal, 40 minutes south to Burlington and a short walk to Alburgh Dunes State Park - a hidden treasure! Come in summer to swim, fish, bike, hike and relax in the idyllic surroundings. Come in winter for the magical peace and quiet. Come and write your own story at Storybook Cottage! The space The Cottage is tucked away in a private little well kept apple orchard. You might see deer and rabbits. Birding is spectacular, with the dunes near by. Storybook is small, efficient and tastefully designed, with kitchen and living area (including a very NICE American Leather convertible couch, tv, recliner etc.) and a bathroom with a roomy shower stall. A snug and cozy loft with a king bed is accessed by means of a steep spiral stair, almost a ship’s ladder. Outside you will find a fenced yard with a picnic bench, a small gazebo (perfect for coffee in the morning), a tiny privacy-fenced seating area, flower gardens and two Amish sheds for storage including fun toys: bikes, kayaks, beach stuff available for use.
