This heritage listed cottage has been lovingly restored for comfort and convenience. Bask in the morning sun on the verandah with your breakfast coffee or later in the day kick back on the day bed with a good book outside, or soak away your soreness in the bath after a full day snowboarding or skiing. The space The property offers fully self-contained accommodation for up to 2 guests, with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. One bedroom has a comfy double bed and the second has a comfy single bed. The bathroom has a separate shower and modern clawfoot bath, with gas flame effect heater. There is also a washer/dryer appliance in this room for your convenience. There is a slow combustion wood heater in the main room. The central one room of the Cottage has a double couch, two single armchairs and a food preparation area /galley style kitchen. Outside, Glengarry has an old stone fireplace that is available for use (in line with seasonal fire restrictions), with guests invited to use the supplied camp oven. There are also 2 x fold up director chairs and a fold away small table for use outside if required. If you're looking for a private and quiet destination to soak up the fresh mountain air that is away from the hustle and bustle of Jindabyne in peak periods, Glengarry Cottage is the place for you. NB: There is NO internet or mobile reception inside the cottage. A DVD player is available if required. Guest access Entire cottage for private guest use and you will find supplied: *all linen, doonas, pillows, towels and napery *dinnerware, glassware, bowls, cutlery, cooking/serving utensils, chopping boards *first aid kits, fly spray, fire extinguisher, fire blanket *cleaning products for dishwashing and general use *information booklet/guide *all firewood for internal AND external fireplace * a few games and books *DVD player and small monitor screen * please note: mobile coverage is very limited and there is no internet or Wi-Fi included or accessible. We are on a property which has its uniqueness in its remoteness and privacy. You do not need a 4WD to get here, but need to take care as some if road is dirt and conditions such as rain require care. Once guests turn off from the main road, stock may be wondering across the dirt road. The cottage is heritage listed and had been kept to its original size, so has only ONE room as a combined lounge/kitchen/dinning. We have preserved the original layout and unique characteristics of this cozy property. Appliances in the cottage: * kettle *toaster *gourmet frypan *sandwich maker *dual convection / microwave oven *fridge/freezer *washing/dryer machine *iron with ironing mat *vacuum cleaner *oil-filled electric heater Other things to note In summer guests can enjoy fly fishing in the Mowamba River that runs through the property. It is a short walk down the grassy hill from the Cottage and you are there in minutes-no gates to go through or permissions to seek! Stroll wherever you like on the 10 hectares of bushland. Please do not enter the yard of the main house or any other structures. Check out the heritage listed cattleyards. All we ask is that you stay within the property boundaries and don't use any vehicles- just your feet! *In winter, guests have the convenience of being less than an hour from the Snowy Mountains ski fields. (Perisher or Thredbo Resorts). Please check National Parks advice about weather and requirements for snow chains to be carried in vehicles. *We easily accommodate Mountain Bike trailers with your vehicle if necessary. * Sometimes it snows ! * Fireplace inside and outside! * Bring DVDs or thumb drive/USB if you want to watch something on the small screen provided. Don't have any?... borrow them from your library before you leave home! Bring some games or books to make use of screen free time... You are welcome to bring your own outdoor chairs and Barbeque and other equipment if you prefer them over what we have on offer. Registration Details Exempt
