The Slumbering Bumble Bee
The Slumbering Bumble Bee
Description
My home has a beautiful view of Mt. Beacon and is quiet and tree-cradled. A healing oasis for you with the enticements of the town and surrounding country so close. Beacon is a walk or bike ride away-about a half mile. I, my 3 bunnies and my surroundings create welcoming vibes. The space Welcome to The Slumbering Bumble Bee, named after one of the delights found in my garden. This is a lovely getaway from the city. Come and enjoy my home and find a healing arts environment full of warmth, charm, and its own magical quirkiness. I'm an eco, gluten-free, holistic-conscious woman with 3 semi free roam bunnies on the premises. Beacon is only an hour and a half drive north of New York City, and an easy 80-minute ride on Metronorth's Hudson Line. Beacon is a fabulous little river town with excellent shopping, museums (DIA Beacon), great restaurants and coffee shops, and music venues. There is also incredible hiking in the area, including Mount Beacon & Breakneck Ridge. Chapel of the Sacred Mirrors (COSM) is 15 minutes as well. We are also only 30 minutes from Storm King Arts Center. It is a unique more private home. Walking distance from Main Street. Guest access A shared bathroom with a jet bathtub and a separate shower with 2 shower heads, and 1 rain shower. There is an extra bathroom in the basement downstairs for backup. Minimal kitchen use is available: microwave, water kettle, dishes, filtered water, and refrigerator. A cozy wood stove warms the living room in the colder months with a beautiful view of Mt. Beacon. A large tree-filled yard with places to sit and picnic and a hammock. Easy street free parking. During your stay I'm quite busy and have a private practice as well. I love to interact with my guests as I'm available and as they wish. It is important to me to have good vibes in my home. Other things to note My home is a work in progress. Lovely, cozy, funky, warm, and full of healing energy and it's getting better and better all the time. I'm also an herbalist and have herbs and herbal concoctions, including jars, often everywhere which most guests tend to like but some may find it appears cluttered. I'm often busy in the kitchen or garden and fully live and work PT in my space. There are 3 bunnies on the premises, 1 very shy, the other 2 quite playful. They are semi free roam but sectioned off from guest areas.
