Wilmington's "Jungle Room"

We would like to extend a warm Southern welcome to all of our Guests staying in Wilmington's "Jungle Room." The separate Guest room is set in a beautiful tropical garden full of interesting and fascinating plants-palms, staghorn ferns, colorful bromeliads, and many more. One of our hobbies is propagating these plants because of their beauty and overall dramatic effect. If we've done it right, you can easily imagine you are in a tropical rain forest right here in Southeastern NC! The space PLEASE NOTE: 1)Here at The Jungle Room, we adhere to all of the CDC guidelines re: masks, social distancing, and hand washing. 2) We also follow all of the Airbnb recommendations re: cleaning and sanitizing The Jungle Room for each of our Guests. 3) Both Joyce and I have had both of our Covid shots. RECENT HIGHLIGHT: Our tropical garden that surrounds The Jungle Room was recently featured in our local SALT MAGAZINE (August 2014 Issue). We are offering to our guests a large, very private bedroom with a private bathroom and shower in a separate guest house adjacent to our garden. The room has a queen-sized bed suitable for two people. An additional guest can be accommodated (with prior arrangement) on a double futon or air mattress. Within the room are a microwave oven, a mini-fridge, a wifi connection, a coffeemaker, and a smart TV. The use of our deck for reading, conversing, or just enjoying the garden with the relaxing sounds of the waterfall in the background is also included for the enjoyment of our guests.** Our home and The Jungle Room is located in a quiet, safe, residential neighborhood that is central to all the restaurants and attractions of the Wilmington area--our sunny beaches, the historic downtown district, the Battleship North Carolina, the NC Aquarium, and Fort Fisher just to name a few. Your hosts, Bruce and Joyce, are easygoing, friendly, and responsive semi-retired professionals who love to travel. We are excited to offer "The Jungle Room" to travelers, business men and women, and other adventurers. Whether you come on business, to just relax or "beach it," or to pursue academic endeavors, you will find that we are more than willing to help with any problems you may have during your stay in our area. Do come and enjoy our little bit of heaven with us! **PLEASE NOTE: Because there is a small pond at the foot of our waterfall, we prefer adult guests or adult guests with an older child. All children must be closely supervised at all times.
