The Fox Tale, a red log cabin in the woods

The Fox Tale is a log cabin in the woods above Lake Arrowhead--surrounded by pine, oak, and Douglas fir trees. The location is exceptional--quiet and a short drive (10 minutes) to all points of interest. Built in 1945 with all new appliances and fixtures. The Fox Tale is rooted in 1940s style: the tile, lighting fixtures, hardware, etc are original or diligent recreations of the 1940s. Return to a cozier time without losing the comforts of our modern era (e.g., screaming fast broadband). The space There is a small galley kitchen with pantry and laundry directly across from it. From the kitchen you walk into the living room with a dining table, full size couch, reading chair and TV. As you continue through the living room there will be one full bathroom off to the left and the primary bedroom to the right. The primary bedroom has one queen bed. Upstairs is small bedroom with a queen sized bed. There is a half bathroom upstairs. Also upstairs there is a loft area with a reading chair, a desk, and a full size bed in a little sleeping nook to the far right. The sleeping nook is not a separate bedroom and does not have a door for privacy. Guest access You will have access to all living spaces and nothing is shared other than with members of your party. There is a locked owners cabinet that is off limits. Other things to note We do not permit small children for safety reasons. As you can see in photos, the heater has a large metal grate in the center of the floor between living room/dining room areas and could be a tripping or burn hazard. Please note that there is an antique oven that is charming, but very small. It is about half the size of a normal oven so this may not be the place for you if you are hoping to prepare a big meal.
