The possibilities here are endless! There is recreation in every direction. Lots of live music and dancing, cycling, boating, roller skating, slot cars, horseback riding, dirt biking, hiking, golfing…it’s there waiting for you to come and enjoy! Fourth of July fireworks display is best I've ever seen! Or…you can play horse shoes off of your back deck,, wonder down by the creek to watch a blue heron glide by, or play in our herb and vegetable gardens . Pick all of your favorite herbs and vegetables and prepare yourself an amazingly fresh meal in your own very well equipped kitchen or BBQ on your patio. This spacious, craftsman style bungalow decorated in soothing hues of sand and sky is centered in the wine country, just minutes from three magnificent lakes, beautiful state parks, restaurants, wineries and gambling casinos. Winter months are exceptional for birding, hiking and sitting by your campfire! In a lovely garden, under magnificent oak trees, alongside the creek, stress is simply forgotten! You are welcome to move about the. entire 3 1/2 acre property...practice your chipping on the big lawn, play ping pong under the shade of an oak tree, horseshoes in your backyard or sit on a deck overlooking Kelsey Creek. I do my best to greet my guests upon their arrival and if I am not home then as soon as I return. I enjoy sharing recommendations on neighborhood attractions and activities. As a certified tourism ambassador for Lake County, I would be happy to put together an excursion suited to your personal interests. I am happy to provide garden clinics. I charge $25 for a one hour starters course on soil preparation, seasonal seed selection, crop management, seed collection and storage. Or, in the fall, we can use that same hour collecting things to put to use in making a festive seasonal wreath. Our downtown is 1 1/2 miles down the road. There are some great shops, wineries and a friendly brew pub as well as a neighborhood bistro and local's favorite corner bar. We have a number of wonderful community festivities throughout the year! March - Bass Tournaments, Sip and Stroll April - Chacewater Winery Olive Festival May 18-19- Lake Co. Wine Adventure June - Father's Day - Baconfest June - First weekend - Lakeport Sprint Boat Grand Prix/Wood & Glory Boat Show July - second weekend - Lake Co. Rodeo August - Sept. Second Sunday - Dia de la Independencia Oct. - Harvest Festival at Shannon Wines Mercantile Dec. First Friday - Christmas in the Country - Huge downtown light parade! We have number of local taxi services and Lake Co. Transit stops just a mile up the road and can take you to Ukiah, Middletown and all points around the lake. ONE dog is welcome. YOU MAY NOT LEAVE YOUR PET UNATTENDED IN THE HOME WITHOUT A CRATE! Please advise in advance. Lots of festivals and events all year around...ask me for a calendar. Outstanding live music 3-4 nights each week.
