The space This delightful villa offers a spacious covered terrace and an outdoor lounge overlooking a tranquil tropical garden, perfect for reading, listening to music, or simply relaxing. Despite not being on the main road, the villa provides a serene and quiet environment, making it an ideal retreat. Spend your evenings in this peaceful setting, enjoying a delicious meal by the pool. The villa is equipped with a barbecue for cooking under the stars, ensuring a perfect holiday experience. Inside, you'll find a cozy TV lounge, an open breakfast/dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen with modern amenities, including a built-in oven, microwave, dishwasher, and Nespresso coffee machine. Stay connected with cable TV and high-speed internet. The sleeping quarters include three air-conditioned bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. The master bedroom features a walk-in closet and a lounge area for added comfort. Daily housekeeping is provided by Sandrine, except on Sundays and public holidays. She is available to assist with your needs and can prepare delicious local dishes upon request (ingredients not included). The garden is maintained by our gardener, Sataan, and the pool is serviced twice a week. This villa holds a special place in my heart, as it was where my husband and I spent the first few years of our life together. We have decorated the villa with unique pieces from our travels around the world, including Bali, Rodrigues, and France, as well as custom-designed furniture made by local craftsmen. Each room tells a story, and we hope you will enjoy a comfortable stay in our home. Located near Merville Bay, the villa is just a short drive from Merville Beach. The Lux* Grand Baie hotel and part of the beach are within a few minutes' walk. We highly recommend renting a car for your stay. A car is essential for everyday shopping, dining at restaurants, and exploring the island. The capital city, Port-Louis, is a 45-minute drive from the villa (avoiding peak hours). ***TOURIST FEE: Please note that from October 1, 2025, a new Tourist Fee of €3 per adult (12 years and above) per night will apply, as required by the Mauritius Revenue Authority (MRA). This fee is in addition to your accommodation charges and must be collected by all local accommodation providers on behalf of the Mauritius Revenue Authority (MRA)- it will be collected at check-in in cash (EUR or MUR), and an official receipt will be provided. We appreciate your kind understanding and cooperation as we work to integrate this into our booking system. *** Guest access Guests have full access to the entire villa during their stay. Parking is available in the garden at the entrance, and the property features a private, spacious tropical garden. Other things to note It is strongly recommended to rent a car, as public transportation on the island is not very reliable.
