Description
Casita Ocotillo is a charming, minimalist studio guest house in central Tucson, with its own private Ocotillo entrance and back patio. We are centrally located, 1 mile from the University of Arizona, and within walking distance to Banner University Hospital, Whole Foods, local restaurants and bars, the Loft theater, and just a 10-minute drive to downtown and the 4th Avenue shops. The space The newly renovated studio “casita” guesthouse is a unique space behind our 1940s bungalow in the historic Blenman Elm neighborhood. The private entrance and patio are lined with ocotillo for a unique Sonoran desert welcome. The ~400-square-foot guesthouse is fully remodeled with concrete floors, custom ceramic lighting, and mesquite open shelves. The pitched ceiling and thoughtful layout make it feel spacious, airy, and light. The casita is perfect for a single traveler, couple, or travel nurse. The modern kitchenette is equipped with a retro-style top-freezer refrigerator, pots & pans, a blender, an electric cooktop, and a 2-1 microwave air-fryer. There is fresh ground coffee and your choice of a drip coffee maker or a French press and we also have a selection of teas and an electric kettle. The en-suite bathroom is well-lit with natural and recessed lighting, a large walk-in shower, and overhang plants that give it a natural feel. Watch Netflix on a 34" TV, work or play using reliable and secure Wi-Fi. Sleep on a double bed with a new cooling gel memory foam mattress. New blinds were installed to allow you to sleep in, take a nap, or wake up naturally with the morning light. The new LG air conditioning and heating wall unit is powerful, yet quiet to keep you comfortable during the hot summer months and cool, desert nights. Enjoy a cup of coffee or a meal on the shaded, private back patio next to the relaxing bamboo garden and live ocotillo fence. Ample free street parking is available. Guest access Access is through a private gate at the front of the main house. Once through the gate, you will encounter a flagstone pathway leading to your front door with a keyless entry for your convenience. Other things to note We have a friendly dog (blue heeler) who will have supervised access to the backyard next door to the casita, separated by a privacy fence so you will not have to interact with her. If you are a dog lover we will happily introduce you in the backyard.
