Tlazala B&B Campirano: Laurel Cabin

We enjoy so much travelling, that we feel enthusiastic to welcome travellers from all around the world. Our cabins are in the mountains NW Mexico City, climate is temperate as we are close to the forest. We aim to make you feel cozy and relaxed! The space Tlazala Bed & Breakfast Campirano We are a family that has owned the property for more than 40 years. We are very enthusiastic to welcome people from all around the world and make you feel at home. Our international environment lets us communicate in different languages like: English, Spanish, German, Swedish, Portuguese and French. We are used to welcoming people from all over the world! Tlazala B&B is conveniently located 30 km outside Mexico City, on the slopes of the Cruces Mountain Chain. It is near the center of Tlazala, the main town of Isidro Fabela Municipality. We are surrounded by beautiful temperate forests and woods of pines and oaks. Our idea is to make the B&B an opportunity for the people visiting Mexico that want to spend some days off the capital. You will enjoy a good example of the country side of Mexico and have the opportunity to explore some places that just a few people from the city know. We are sure that you will have a peaceful time during your stay and be able to get a get a good night sleep, though you might get awake by the singing of some birds or the view of the sunrise! There are five main options to choose where to stay, from camping to the dorm, or from the simple room connecting the greenhouse, to the newest wooden cabin. All the options have toilet and shower available. We provide free internet connection in all the cabins and some garden areas, so that you can stay connected and share your thoughts and images of the place with your relatives and friends. If you need meals we can organize then for you. Our cooking partners can provide many alternatives, including vegetarian options. For an additional cost we offer you the grill area or our temazcal (traditional sauna) and a jacuzzi facility that you will definitely enjoy! There are many attractions and things to do while you stay in Tlazala B&B Campirano. We can organize tours for you to hike in the beautiful forests of the area, search for our "Gran caminata" experience, or visiting a couple of agroecological production farms of our friends nearby (on crop season). You can also explore by yourself around visiting the Otomi Ceremonial Center, buying carpets in Temoaya, tasting delicious trouts around the Iturbide dam, and much much more! Several transportation options can take you here, and they leave from El Toreo, Tlalnepantla or Atizapán. Either directly or with a stop in Villa Nicolás Romero or in Santa Ana Jilotzingo, the trip should not take you more than 1.5 hrs. However, if you are landing at the International Airport of Mexico City, we may be able to organize to pick you up there or somewhere else. Best time to spend some days off in the B&B are on weekends, but we are open to welcome you at any time! Guest access Guests are welcome to walk around the property. We offer a small load of firewood, and invite you to collect more yourself from our little forest. Otherwise you can buy extra pieces of firewood ($150 per 12-15 logs). Temazcal (sauna) and jacuzzi are available for an extra fee as well ($1100 and $600 respectively, per one hour session) and under previous notice. The grill is available also, just let us know (please being your own coal should, you need it). Other things to note Please be aware there is NO wifi inside the cabin but ONLY at the central garden area (e-detox is good sometimes!) We love dogs and you are very welcome to bring yours! However, please consider that we have some seven lovely dogs living permanently at the property, plus two more coming on weekends. They are all very friendly with people, though, they tend to need more time adjusting to other dogs. So, if you bring your dog, please be sure to let us know, so we can introduce them slowly, please keep your dog with you at the beginning (on a leash, if necessary), while they meet each other. Please note that dogs are welcome to stay inside the house, but NOT on the beds or furniture. We have had good general experiences with other dogs, however, it is important to ask you to be responsible for your pets’ behavior. Please note that leaving the dogs inside the house while you go out is NOT allowed.
