Welcome to the authentic old Clermont! Ideally located on a street formerly called "Rue des Nobles", 2 steps from the Cathedral and Place de la Victoire, you will enjoy the sun behind the large windows of an old and spacious apartment, carefully decorated. After a good night's sleep in a large 2x2m bed, you can stroll around the neighborhood, now the Arts district, with its galleries, antique shops, but also its restaurants, bars and shops. The space Certainly, the floors creak, the wooden doors are old, but we think you will appreciate, like us, the charm and warm beauty of this old apartment. The living room is the centerpiece of the apartment with its mirrored fireplace, large molded baseboards and herringbone parquet flooring. It will offer you three small relaxation areas to enjoy: - a restaurant-style corner with a bench and marble table - a sofa and coffee table area close to the small TV - a coffee/reading corner facing one of the two large windows of the room The living room has multiple lighting possibilities to create the atmosphere you like. The windows of the apartment, with their wrought iron balconies, get a lot of sun in the morning, it's really nice especially since there is no direct view on this floor. You will see the roofs of the Chazerat hotel and, if the weather is really clear, you can see a small part of the Livradois mountains on the horizon. In the bedroom, we did things simply: we installed a bed with the largest mattress we could find (2x2m), very thick and comfortable. We designed a bed higher than average (we are tall and we liked the idea of being able to store things underneath). The bed therefore occupies the most important place, but you can use the dressers and why not invest in the hidden mini reading corner near one of the two large windows. The windows don't have shutters, so we installed blackout curtains that you can adjust according to your preferences. The small equipped kitchen is not very large, but it is very pleasant with its skylight and rather well arranged. You can prepare coffee in the morning, and cook using the appliances available. Above all, don't hesitate to help yourself to herbal teas, coffee, tea and sugar, oils and spices. The bathroom is simple and efficient: you will find the bathtub with shower, toilet and washing machine. Note that there are some stains towards the bathtub tap that we can't get to go away despite our efforts (we will probably have to redo the joints there), the apartment is not very young :-) Finally, the entrance, which extends across the entire width of the apartment, is actually a room in its own right, designed as an office. We have installed two desks that you can use to telework or prepare your visits quietly. We work there ourselves daily when we live in the apartment.
