Enjoy the 2-bedroom guest suite with private bath in the historic LaRue-Romani victorian mansion. One bedroom has a king size bed and the other a queen. They share a dedicated bathroom that’s in the hall between the two rooms. The space The historic LaRue-Romani home, built in 1887 and designated an outstanding historical resource by the City of Davis in 1995, is a one-of-a-kind treasure of rich architecture, detailed craftsmanship and storybook charm. The first floor has 14 foot tall ceiling and several rooms to gather, dine and entertain and a half bath. Rooms include: Sun Room, Living Room, Dining Room that doubles as a creative space, Den, and fully stocked chef's Kitchen. The second floor guest suite has 1 king room + 1 queen room with a shared bath and original clawfoot tub between the rooms. All three of these dedicated guest suite spaces are off of the shared hallway. Theres an outbuilding with a Peleton and a Sunlighten infrared sauna. There is also a saltwater pool. It stays around 80-84 degrees in the summer. It's pretty chilly in the winter, but great for a cold plunge after the sauna. The home sits on 1.3 acres so there's plenty of places to discover or dine al fresco. There are two sweet GOATS in the barn. Please Note: Our home requires close supervision of children due to multiple staircases, pool access, delicate antiques, and high-quality rugs and furniture. This is our primary residence, not a rental designed for high traffic, so we appreciate guests who will treat it with care. Families who are confident their children can respect a thoughtfully maintained home are welcome. Guest access You will have access to your two bedroom suite on the second floor with a dedicated bathroom between the two rooms, complete with the original clawfoot soaking tub. You are also welcome to enjoy the kitchen, living room, sun room, den, dining room, grounds, outdoor seating areas, BBQ, pool and sauna + exercise room. During your stay We are always just a phone call or text away. Happy to respect your privacy or if it works maybe we will enjoy a conversation or a meal together. Other things to note The foyer is The Gallery at Four Palms so there might even be a gallery event during your stay or other community happenings.
