Share Village Machimura

This is an old thatched house built in 143 years ago. The family that has lived in the house for generations has protected it, but it was planned to be demolished because of the financial issues in 2014. In order to preserve the original landscape of the satoyama for the next generation, we revitalize the house as a membership guest house. However, the activities were stopped due to the pandemic. In June 2024 we reopened the house as a private accommodation place (rental vacation house). The space [About the facilities: 8LDK (D is a Doma)] ▼ Accommodation rooms Two rooms (with futon, sheets, hangers, and multi-tap). ▼Living room With Irori (Japanese hearth) and speaker ▼Kitchen IH stove/ Refrigerator/ Microwave/ Rice cooker/ Cooking utensils/ Basic seasonings ▼Water area Wash stand and bathroom (with shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and hair dryer) Flush toilets (separate for men and women) ▼Amenities Towels Welcome drink (coffee/Kuromoji tea) Hot water bottle (only in winter) ※Toothbrushes and razors are available for ¥100. Guest access Please note that the staff room in the back and the storage room next to the living room are off-limits. Other things to note *Since the house is used almost as is and is located in the mountains, insects may be seen during the summer season. Please understand this beforehand. *About the use of the house during winter Although we have installed stoves in each room and provided thick bedding and hot water bottles for rent, it gets cold in the old houses during the winter.
