Cheerful Oak Park Apartment

Welcome to our lovely space, located above a unique piano restoration shop. Spacious and relaxing, with plenty to enjoy staying in, and 5-minutes walking distance to cafes, grocery, bars, restaurants, and more. The apartment is down the street from a Botanic Garden, and there is a nice arts district nearby. Easily accessible to downtown Oak Park and Chicago with nearby public transportation and expressway (downtown Chicago is about 25-35 min. drive, 35-45 min. by train). The space The apartment is on the second floor of a vintage building in the town of Oak Park. With cheerful colors and decor, warm afternoon light, and spaciousness, the space invites you to relax and feel at home! The bedroom has a king size bed with memory foam. There is a sound machine, bluetooth speaker, lavender spray, and foam ear plugs provided so you can have a nice restful sleep. The living room is a large open plan space, with a work desk area, a reading nook, couch and television, and dining area. There are plenty of things to entertain yourself with here--lots of books, magazines, records, games, as well as roku TV with a guest Netflix account. We have yoga mats as well with plenty of space for your vinyasa flow! The full bathroom has a shower and bathtub. Feel free to use the provided soap, shampoo, conditioner, as well as any other amenities you find there. The kitchen is complete with oven, stove, microwave, as well as pots and pans, dishes and utensils. Please enjoy complimentary coffee/tea (with regular and non-dairy creamer, sugar/stevia available) and water in the fridge, as well as any snacks on the counter. In the back, you'll find the private deck where you can enjoy a meal at the outside table, or lounge on the patio chair with your favorite book, or have a nice nap in the sun! ================================= Note on refunds: Please note that if you choose the discounted rate, it is NON-REFUNDABLE. If you want to be sure to have a full refund in case you need to cancel, please be sure to choose the regular rate that has our flexible refund policy (which gives a full refund up to 24 hours before check-in, per Airbnb policy). In extreme circumstances, we may be able to ask Airbnb to release your payment back to you but we can't guarantee they will give a full refund, so please be sure to double check when making your reservation. Note on number of guests: The maximum number of guests is 2, however there is another small bedroom we can make available for an extra charge per night, with room for one more guest (it has a twin size bed). Please message me if you would like this option. Note on check-in and check-out times: We have other guests coming and going and need time to prepare the space, therefore the earliest check-in is 3:00pm. Likewise, because we are preparing the space for the next guest the latest check-out is 11:00am. We appreciate your understanding about this, as we want the space to be just right for everyone! Note on late arrivals: We have a listed time period for check-in but there is flexibility for late arrivals as we offer self check-in. Please just let us know if you will be arriving later than 10pm in the evening. Note on same day bookings: Depending on the time of booking, the apartment may not be available right away. We will confirm with you the check-in time when you book. Please do not arrive for check-in until you have a confirmed time from us. Note on outside services (massage, private chef, photography, etc.): Please note that guests are not permitted to invite third-party service providers to the apartment. Airbnb is planning to offer services in app, but we do not have the facilities to provide space for this, as well as liability and safety concerns for our guests as well as the building. Thank you for your understanding. Note on pets: We have a strict no pet policy due to allergy/asthma concerns and also to maintain the cleanliness of the space for all our guests. Please do not book if you are traveling with a pet and look instead for a pet friendly place. If we discover you have brought a pet to stay here, we will have to charge you for the extra cleaning.
