Wimsbach Castle is in an exceptional location. Enjoy nearly 6 acres (over 2 hectares) of private park and the area's outstanding cultural treasures and proximity to Austria's lake district. The village is embedded in a nature reserve, offering guests endless local walking and biking opportunities. The baroque churches and monasteries in the area are exceptional, and lakes, mountains and beautiful villages like Hallstatt are in easy reach. A stair lift gives less mobile guests easier access. During your stay Guest will normally only encounter other guests in the castle, the estate huntsman and possibly his family, and estate staff. Other things to note Fishing on the estate's 6.5 kilometres of river is also available to guests. If you are visiting for a riding event in Stadl-Paura, private stables at the edge of the Schloss Park can provide horse livery/boarding services.
