Riverside cabin “Abava Barrow”

Welcome to Abava Barrow - a cosy and tasteful cabin nestled alongside the picturesque Abava river and located in the heart of the ancient valley of Abava nature park. It offers beatiful forested meadows as its surroundings, amazing sunset views from a large terrace, great tourist attractions nearby and absolute peace and quiet to make your stay pleasant and unforgettable. The space The Abava Barrow is 25 m2 and it has a separate bedroom equipped with a large bed for 2, a bathroom, a living room combined with a kitchenette, a large terrace with outdoor furniture and all other essential amenities that guests would expect. Just 50m away from the cabin you will find a private swimming area accessing the Abava river, as well as a camping hut with a bbq grill and a sauna house right next to it. From here, you can also rent out a row boat or SUP board to explore the river further. The charming town of Sabile is just a 5min drive or 20min walk away from the cabin. There, you will find several grocery shops, a pharmacy, and a nice restaurant. You can also visit the nearby wineries and cideries run by local producers. The town is the home of Sabile vineyard, which is registered in the Guinness Book of World Records as the most northern open-air vineyard in the world. Abava waterfall, another great tourist attraction and camping place, is just a 10min drive away from the cabin. You can also reach the waterfall by following the Abava river. It takes around 1h by boat starting from the cabin. Guest access Coming by car, you will have free parking right in front of the cabin. Alternatively, an intercity bus coming from Riga takes about 2 hours to get to Sabile. From there it’s a 20min walk through a quiet residential area until the cabin.
