South Wales Yurt-Cosy, log burner & private garden

We have a beautiful yurt in our private garden, sleeping up to 2 people. Ideal as a base for exploring Wales, romantic getaways, secluded retreats, or taking advantage of walking, hiking or cycling routes. Our self-contained yurt is pretty much off-grid, solar powered lights offer a peaceful space to relax and sleep under the stars. Minutes from the tranquillity of The Gwent Levels, Magor has a real community spirit with excellent local shops and pubs, and a comprehensive mix of take-aways. The space With romantic, solar electricity (240v) lighting and a cosy log burning stove for chillier evenings, she has everything you need to truly relax. Included is all your bedding and a basket full of logs for the wood-burner and wood for the fire pit, extra logs can be purchased at an additional minor charge. The day bed can convert into two single beds, with all linen provided. Our yurt includes crockery, cutlery, utensils and a mini-fridge, along with a DAB radio and some basics to make your stay comfortable. Electrics also means you can keep devices charged too whilst being able to pop the kettle on for that all important cuppa. Outside there is a covered private space to relax, with a fire pit and BBQ (please provide your own briquettes) where you can sit and unwind at the end of the day. The whole garden is private and yours to use, along with any vegetables growing. Your private bathroom is around 10 steps from the yurt, with a hot running shower and a flushable toilet. Pets are welcome, we just ask that they aren’t on the furniture and are considerate to our neighbours. (Note: Dogs must be on a lead at all times). Finally, we offer a weatherproof and lockable storage for your bikes, golf clubs, walking or hiking gear. A torch is recommended for the evenings. Guest access We are 5 minutes from the M4 with easy access to Swansea, Cardiff, Newport and Bristol. Guests can park their vehicle in our private off road area, used by family members. Access is an easy amble through our field to your own private entrance, about 25m from your car (unfortunately, not suitable for wheelchairs). We are close to the walking and mountain bike centres of South Wales, with the wonderful beaches of The Gower, the Brecon Beacons and Pen Y Fan all accessible. Close to The Celtic Manor Resort and the International Convention Centre Wales, you are never far from where you need to be. Other things to note Before you arrive, we will email you a welcome pack with all the information that you will need during your stay. We do offer a pre-lighting service if you wish for the wood-burner to be warm when you arrive. Please contact us to book this service in advance of your stay. Unfortunately we cannot provide you with towels, or, briquettes for the BBQ, please bring your own. Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is 11am.
