The Yurt @ Ranish

The yurt is a tiny relaxing space . It is situated in Ranish , which is about 8 miles out of Stornoway and although it is at the back of a residential house you will feel like you are out on the crofts that surround it in this rural area of Lewis . The Croft fields around have a mixture of animals , including sheep , goats , geese , ducks & of course chickens , which can be a wee bit vocal at times . We have some very friendly chickens on the property as well . The space The yurt was built as a self contained area . It is open plan & has a small hob , fridge , microwave & sink in a kitchen area . There is a separate room with a shower , sink & toilet in it . It has a deck to the front and side with an outside table with chairs . The nights can be very short in summer , but there are eye masks to block out the light should you need them . Guest access The yurt is situated at the rear of the main house . With the willows around it , the space will be very private . You will access the yurt via the rear of the property .
