The Orazio Trullo Family Trulli were built around 1700. After a long and skillful conservative restoration, they have regained their ancient splendor, returning to welcome guests who seek peace, rest and relaxation immersed in the truest nature. Treat yourself to an authentic dream in a historic home between the sea and the hills. The space The FAMILY Trullo is built entirely of stone and internally covered in white lime. It has floors in natural limestone called chianche. A large bathroom entirely covered in stone, totally renovated using natural materials, has a beautiful handmade Grottaglie ceramic sink and a comfortable shower cubicle. The furnishings, handmade by Apulian artisans and recovered in ancient masserias and eighteenth-century trulli complexes, are essential and the materials are iron, wood and ceramics. Rare concessions to modernity are very comfortable beds with Dorelan mattresses, an iconic Marshall bluetooth to listen to good music, different sockets to charge your devices, fast wifi, a comfortable kitchenette with the unmissable Bialetti for excellent coffee. A bit like in a dream, you will find yourself immersed in the 1700s with the comforts of the third millennium to enjoy the history that oozes from the rock, the colors and scents of nature and the flavors of Apulian food and wine savored lying in the shade of a centuries-old olive tree. Guest access In addition to your 35 sqm Trulli house, you have many common outdoor spaces at your disposal. A very large and safe parking lot where you can park your car, a large natural stone square where you can play with your children, run with your dog, have breakfast in the shade of centuries-old olive trees with your friends and family. There is also a wood-fired barbecue for your grills, sun loungers, hanging chairs for reading, hammocks for resting and enjoying the relaxation of nature. In the surrounding land, cherry, apricot, fig, fioroni, medlar, black cherry, apricot, prickly pear, pear, chestnut, walnut, almond, hazelnut trees and the oldest and forgotten lazzeruoli, strawberry trees and sorbs await you. But we have also used current technologies that are hidden from view and perfectly integrated that allow you to enjoy unusual warmth in winter and natural coolness in summer and to connect with the world. The systems are very low consumption and this allows you to spend a comfortable and sustainable vacation. We've taken every possible precaution to ensure that your vacation doesn't negatively impact the future of our children. You have a solar thermal system to heat the water for your shower with the sun's rays. An underground geothermal system helps produce heat in winter and cool in summer. Trulli OraziO is totally plastic free: the complimentary water you will find in your fridge upon arrival is in glass bottles, we do not provide any single-use products, even the light switches are ceramic instead of plastic. We water the flowers and the vegetable garden with rainwater collected in winter in ancient cisterns because water is a precious commodity. We only use ecolabel certified cleaning products, toilet paper not from virgin cellulose without bleach, corn-based recycling bags and many other precautions that you will appreciate.
