Located in the heart of Gold Country in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, the GOLD COUNTRY BUNGALOW is a 1915 home with historic charm, modern touches, & equipped for short & long stays. New: A/C, W/D, dishwasher, 3 Roku TVs. King suite, garage w/120V for EVehicle, fenced yard, dogs okay. Gateway to Yosemite National Park & Stanislaus Forest. Ride a vintage train at 1897 Railtown State Park steps away. A short walk to rustic, gold rush-era downtown. Wineries, casinos, & nature galore await! The space The GOLD COUNTRY BUNGALOW is a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home that offers various patio dining options on a large semi-wraparound deck, a large fenced yard, and is set up with your comfort in mind. Roku-enabled TVs are found in the living room and two bedrooms. New mini splits in the living room and primary bedroom provide A/C (heat and cold) to your specific comfort level. Two bedrooms do not have mini splits and only fans. The king bedroom has a new memory foam mattress, and extra down-alternative blankets and pillows. New memory foam pillow tops on the additional beds can be removed if you prefer a firmer bed. Black out curtains in every room. Kitchen is fully stocked with pots/pans, dishware, silverware, cutlery, wine glasses, plastic ware, kid cups, and more! New dishwasher and new LG TurboWash washer and dryer. Charge your electric vehicle with 120V outlet in the enclosed garage. Dogs okay! DOGS OKAY Up to 2 dogs allowed-- no other pets. We will need to receive a separate signed liability agreement and state-issued ID prior to us releasing the door code. Do not allow your dogs on furniture or beds, do not leave them home unattended, and please pick up after them. Additional cleaning fees will be charged for excess cleaning. CLEANLINESS We uphold stringent hygiene standards throughout the home to guarantee your comfort and peace of mind. Between bookings, all linens and blankets undergo a thorough washing process that adheres to the highest cleanliness protocols. We prioritize your satisfaction and aim to provide a clean and welcoming environment for your stay. FAMILY-FRIENDLY Kids love the custom-built playhouse! It comes equipped with a play kitchen, kitchen toys, full-size vintage tea-cart, and 2 bistro chairs big enough for grownups who are “dining in!” To help you pack light(er), we offer a pack ‘n play, high chair, and BOB stroller, upon request. We provide select indoor/outdoor toys/games, books, and board games. Corn hole, horseshoes, and croquet! WALKABLE Walk to downtown which is less than .5 miles away on pedestrian- and stroller-friendly, side-walked streets (stroller provided, upon request). CHECK OUT No chores! Please leave the home in reasonable condition and, when you leave, we ask that you message us to let us know that you have departed. AMENITIES 1. Fully Equipped Kitchen (all new propane stove/oven/dishwasher/toaster) The kitchen is stocked with starter amounts of paper towels, trash bags, dishwasher pods, dish soap, filtered water, regular and decaf coffee, tea, ice cubes, pre-packaged snacks, olive oil, salt, and pepper. We have you covered with dish ware, glassware, wine glasses, cutlery, pots/pans, and kid-friendly plastic ware. If it’s not listed here, we probably don’t have it- please ask ahead of time if something is not listed here that is important for your stay. 2. Living Room Roku-enabled TV in the living room with a DVD player. High Speed Internet and a sampling of books and DVDs for all ages. 3. Bathroom- Bath towels, hair dryer, and starter amounts of shampoo, conditioner, and toilet paper are provided. 3. Laundry- a new LG Turbo 360 washer and dryer are available for your use, inside the home. Guests provide their own laundry detergent. 4. Outdoors- The large, semi-wraparound porch has two seating areas. Enjoy patio dining for 4 under a 9' umbrella conveniently located just outside of the dining area of the home. Patio dining for 4 is also available under a pergola. You’ll have access to the custom-built, grownup-sized playhouse and to the entire yard for games like corn hole, bocce ball, croquet, and horse shoes (found in the garage). 5. Garage- The enclosed, one-car garage is equipped with a 120 volt outlet to charge your electric vehicle. Guest access You will have full access to the entire home and large white-picket fenced yard. A small pantry closet in the kitchen with overflow items is kept locked. Other things to note LOCATION The GOLD COUNTRY BUNGALOW is a 1915 single-story bungalow in a side-walked, pedestrian-friendly community, in a rustic, gold rush-era town, in the heart of Gold County, situated between the Railtown 1897 State Historic Park and an elementary school. The Gold Country Bungalow is your gateway to Yosemite National Park, Sequoia State Park, Pinecrest Lake and dozens of spots around the Sonora Pass are only a scenic road trip away. Enjoy nature, sight-seeing, skiing, fishing, hiking, kayaking, rock climbing, cave spelunking, photography, and more. Map these spots from the historic Jamestown Railtown 1897 State Historic Park and Museum and be sure to check road conditions for closures. Yosemite National Park is approximately an hour drive to the Big Oak Flat park entrance via Hwy 120. GPS directions from Railtown 1897 State Historic Park. Railtown 1897 State Park is known as the “Movie Railroad” and is only steps away. On weekends you can go for a leisurely ride on a vintage train featured in 100+ movies, tv shows and more, including Back to the Future 3, Little House on the Prairie, and Petticoat Junction. Take a roundhouse tour where you can meet the conductor and be transported back in time by employees in historic dress. It is the perfect location for your next picnic. Listen to the train whistles that were used in the movie The Polar Express. Have you always wanted to ride a horse drawn carriage?! Come this way! On weekends you'll often see the carriage passing by the home. JAMESTOWN "It's the spot where gold was first discovered in the County. Several of the town's buildings that date back to the 1870s and 1880s are occupied by quaint historic inns, restaurants, shops, a cigar bar, micro brewery, and even wine tasting rooms of local vineyards."
