Beautiful condo with a great beach view for sunrises and peaceful sunsets overlooking the canal. Flamingo Joe's has been completely updated with high-end appliances and comfortable furniture. Enjoy eating meals, reading, and relaxing on the front deck with a beach view or the back deck overlooking the canal. You will be steps away from enjoying relaxation or fun-time playing at the seashore as well as having access to the community pool and outdoor grill with a picnic area. The space You will be across the street from the beach....just steps away. Freeman Park is also just a bit north of our building. With the purchase of a day pass, you can drive a 4x4 directly to the beach. Guests may walk into the Freeman Park area at no additional cost. Leashed dogs are allowed on Freeman Park all year round. FAQs Q: When is the property available? A: Check availability dates in the calendar. Q: What are the sleeping options? A: There is one queen-sized bed in the bedroom as well as one queen-sized sleeper sofa. Linens will be provided for both. You may want to bring extra blankets. Q: When is check-in? Check-out? A: Check-in is any time after 4:00 PM. You will be provided a door code to access entry into the condo. This code will expire 15 minutes after your check-out time which is 10:00 AM. Q: Do we offer early check-in? A: Unfortunately, we do not offer early check-in. We must allow adequate time for our cleaners to have everything ready for you. Q: Where is parking while at the property? A: You will be provided one parking pass which will allow you to park on the premises. Please do not park in the garage/bay areas. You will be towed at your expense. Q: Can we park on the premises after check-out? A: You will need to leave your parking pass in the condo before check-out. Fortunately, there is a public parking area across from the condo unit. It is a paid parking area which will cost around $20.00 for a day. Q: Is there a minimum night stay? A: Three nights Q: Do we allow pets? A: One pet per rental. You are responsible for any damages created by your pet. Please clean up after you pet in the pet areas. Bags are provided. Q: Is smoking/vaping allowed? A: NO! Please do not smoke or vape on decks or inside the condo. Q: Is this property really oceanfront? A: You can see the ocean from the front deck. It is a gorgeous view. We eat outside on the deck often. We have also both worked from the front deck area. There is no better place to grade papers or work on computer programs (our respective jobs). Q: Where is the beach located in relation to the condo? A: The beach is right across the street. This is a public beach access. You can also access the beach from Freeman Park. This area is available for free and is pet friendly as walk-on beach goers. There is a daily cost to drive onto the beach, and you must have four-wheel drive. Q: On what floor is the condo? A: We are on the third floor. The first floor is garage. Unit B-4 is the second floor, and we are the third floor. Q: Which building at The Breakers is this condo? A: There are four buildings. Three are in the front and one in the back. We are the middle building at the front. Q: What are the recommended restaurants? A: For pizza-Fentoni's (and they deliver) We also like, Salt Fish Café (reservations needed), Hang Ten Grill, Fork -n- Cork, and the Tiki Bar right across the street. For special occasions, try Havana's and/or Lake Park Steak House. (These are our go-to places for birthdays and our anniversary.) For breakfast/brunch you can't beat Malama Café (for fresh and healthier options) or Kate's Pancakes for comforting breakfast/brunch foods. Q: What are some local favorites places to visit? A: The Fat Pelican-(eclectic bar) Fort Fisher (for a bit of history) Fort Fisher Aquarium Carolina Beach Boardwalk (seasonal activities like a carnival) Thursday nights-Fireworks at 9:00 PM Fort Fisher Ferry to Southport...make sure to check out the Christmas store and we recommend Provisions and Oliver's for dining options. Q: What are some other area restaurants off the island? A: We love Oceanic and Blue Water in Wrightsville Beach as well as Sweet -n- Savory for breakfast/brunch. They have the best French Toast! YUM! Indochine is great if you are looking for Thai and/or Vietnamese fare. You can't beat the ambiance of their location on Wayne Drive. They have outdoor seating options in their gazebos surrounded by a lovely garden. Q: What are some other favorites from this area? A: In the Monkey Junction area, stop in at The Breadsmith. They have wonderful blueberry, cherry, and other homemade breads. Sugar Crystals bakery also have marvelous glazed or filled croissants. Q: Are reservations needed? A: During peak season, you should always call ahead to make a reservation at local restaurants. Q: What grocery stores are in the area? A: Food Lion and Publix are on the island as well as a small "mom and pop" store called The Sea Merchant. Off the island, there is a Harris Teeter, Lowe's Food, and Walmart pretty close by. Trader Joes is a good 30-40 minutes away depending on traffic. Q: Are linens and towels provided? A: Yes, for a $25 added cost. Additional fees are added for missing and/or damaged items. We do ask that guest begin the wash cycle for linens prior to leaving. We will also provide two beach towels. Q: Are any beach accessories like toys/chairs provided? A: At this time, we do not offer any beach items. There will be two beach towels. Please do not use bath towels at the beach or pool. Q: Is there a pool? A: Yes, there is a gated pool available seasonally. Usually, just before Memorial Day through Labor Day. You will need the pool code to enter. This code will be provided at check-in. Floats and pool accessories are not provided, although there are pool/deck chairs and tables located at the pool area. Q: What kitchen supplies are provided? Our hope is to provide well-stocked kitchen. There are a few pots, pans, cookie sheet, glass 9 by 13 pan, plates, bowls, cups, cooking utensils, blender, crockpot, coffee maker, coffee cups, and much more.
