The Little Beverly Hills neighborhood offers mountain views and is located 2.5 miles from the heart of downtown. HISTORY This original mid-century butterfly home was designed by Palmer & Krisel architects and built by Alexander in 1958. Fully renovated and expanded in 2022, the designer has kept the integrity of the original design upgraded with abundant modern amenities and eclectic inviting furnishings. THE SPACE No expense was spared, and no detail overlooked. Situated on a large corner lot neighboring the Prescott Mountain Reserve, walk through our private gate to an oversized fire pit area. The expansive back yard encompasses the original kidney shaped pool, oversized spa, built in outdoor kitchen area with bar seating and a covered outdoor dining space with seating for 14 guests. Soak up the Palm Springs sun on chaise lounge chairs with desert mountain views to the west. The home has been thoroughly decorated with incredible vintage pieces surrounded by mid-century design elements, including high-end stylish yet comfortable furnishings, a working record player/stereo, unique vintage light fixtures and original mid-century fireplace. Glass doors surround every room, seamlessly uniting indoor comfort with outdoor desert and mountain views. Spacious common areas include a formal living room surrounding the fireplace with velvet swivel chairs, central indoor bar, an atrium filled with succulents and cacti, a family game room with a pool table and arcade games, a designated office, and a chill oversized media room for those lazy days and nights. For dining indoors, a large dining table sits amongst walls adorned with mid-century art. The fully stocked Chef’s Kitchen includes a Thermador refrigerator and range, numerous appliances, a pantry, and casual bar seating. The indoor bar includes dual beverage centers with generous space for cocktails, mocktails and wine. The family room combines warmth with play - original art deco lights highlight the substantial down couch, pool table, arcade with 2000+ games and large flat screen tv. Just outside the family room there are lawn games including shuffleboard, darts, cornhole, bochi ball, tetherball and a basketball hoop in the driveway. The media room includes an 11’ couch with day bed style ottomans, an 85” tv with an xbox for additional entertainment. The outdoor kitchen and BBQ area includes a fridge, outdoor icemaker, bev center, pizza oven and sink. There is an infrared sauna for 3, or one lying down. Each of the distinct bedrooms offers room to relax amongst rich designer furnishings with antique hanging lights, sumptuous rugs, ceiling fans, unique art and closets. All bedrooms include indoor and/or outdoor sitting areas and flat screen smart tvs with spectrum cable. Main Suite King Bed Flat Screen TV This light filled room has a large en-suite master bathroom with dual sinks, a vanity, oversize shower, and tranquil outdoor bath tub surrounded by plumeria trees. The suite includes a sitting area, a walk in closet and vintage dresser and has glass patio doors that lead directly to the pool with lovely mountain views. Thanks! IS TAX INCLUDED? 11.5% Transient Occupancy Tax is not included. WHAT TIME IS CHECK-IN AND CHECK OUT? Check in is after 3PM local time, and check out is no later than 11AM. Early check in and late check out may be available for your reservation. WILL I NEED TO MEET THE PROPERTY MANAGER TO GET A KEY? The property manager will meet you on site to check you in and give you a code. This home has keyless locks. This keyless system allows entry into the estate through the issue of a “code” rather than a physical key. The code changes for every reservation so it is an incredibly safe alternative. By issuing the code prior to arrival, the check-in process is much easier. The property manager will give you a tour of the property. We are available at any time during your stay by phone or text to help out or answer any questions you may have. DO YOU PROVIDE DAILY CLEANING SERVICE? We provide a departure clean on all stays. A mid-week or mid-stay clean can be provided for an additional fee. CAN WE HAVE THE POOL HEATED? During the winter, the temperature of pools can range between 50-70 degrees. Pool heating is suggested for the months October-May. Pool heating is an optional $100 a day, which is less than our utility cost. Unfortunately, this is due to the cost of gas in Southern California more than doubling in Jan 2023. Jacuzzi heating is complimentary but is limited to 4 hours per day. Please let us know at least 48-hours in advance of your arrival if you would like pool heat added to your reservation. This fee is not included on Airbnb bookings. WHAT IS PROVIDED WITH MY ACCOMMODATIONS? Our vacation rental is furnished and has a full kitchen with amenities including a large refrigerator, beverage centers in the bar and outdoors, outdoor grill area and kitchen, microwave, coffee maker, Keurig machine, etc. We are fully stocked with cooking and serving items including plates, bowls and utensils, as well as a can opener, corkscrew measuring spoons and more. The coffee maker takes ground coffee and the Keurig makes espresso. We also offer a spice rack. There are bath towels, pool towels and bed linens. We also provide an initial supply of trash liners, toilet paper, hand soap and dishwasher soap. Bathrooms are stocked with Shampoo, conditioner and liquid body wash. Laundry facilities are also equipped with laundry soap and dryer sheets. For any extra needs of kids such as a high chair or crib, please contact the host 7 days prior to your arrival to confirm and reserve them. There are alarms on all doors that lead to pool and spa for child safety CAN I SHIP A PACKAGE TO MY VACATION HOME? We do not recommend shipping directly to the home. There are many different people with access to the home: vendors, housekeeping, Guest Services staff, etc. so we cannot be responsible for packages once delivered. Please contact us with extenuating circumstances and we will help work through them. DO YOUR HOMES HAVE OUTDOOR MUSIC SYSTEMS? City of Palm Springs does not permit any amplified music outdoors at any time (day or night), including, but not limited to cell phones, bluetooth speakers, or outdoor TV’s. This includes any amplified sound indoors that can be heard outside. City fines start at $1,000 and are strictly enforced. DO YOU ALLOW PETS? Our property does not allow pets. City of Palm Springs City ID# 5385 Guest access Guests have exclusive access to entire house, pool/spa, outdoor kitchen and dining, and all yards. NO PARTIES OR EVENTS ARE ALLOWED AT THE PROPERTY. There is a locked pantry for our personal use, please do not try to access. IMPORTANT CITY RULES: These are rules for all of Palm Springs Vacation Short Term Rentals. (These are not our rules, but must be strictly adhered to): OCCUPANCY For short term stays the occupancy is limited to 12 overnight guests (10 adults and 2 children). An additional 4 daytime guests are allowed (10a-10p). There is no flexibility on these limits per the City of Palm Springs, and they cannot be exceeded under any circumstances. PARKING 5 cars total allowed on property and street. You may be required to provide all license plate numbers at check-in. Please keep these Occupancy and Parking limits in mind when booking the house. RESPONSIBLE PERSON The responsible person (person on the rental contract) must be 25 years of age or older. BEHAVIOR / NOISE One of the most coveted features of this neighborhood is the quiet relaxation it offers. This is not a party house, and excessive noise or exceeding the number of allowed guests will not be tolerated. Outdoor music heard at the property line at any hour is prohibited by City Ordinance. (This includes playing music indoors with the doors open). A quiet hour of 10pm to 10am must be respected. Any noise after this time must not be audible at the property line. A noise violation will result in costly fines, which will be charged to you. A second or egregious violation will result in immediate eviction and forfeiture of all rental fees.
