Located on the Mayenne/Sarthe border in a peaceful rural setting, close to the Alpes Mancelles, the house offers couples, families and friends a place to relax and enjoy nature, to totally unwind. With plenty of beautiful villages to explore nearby. You have exclusive use of the swimming pool (June-Sept, weather permitting) wood fired jacuzzi (open all year), games barn, large gardens and gaze at the magnificent dark night skies. The space The barn was built in 1869 and now offers spacious accommodation on two levels, whilst maintaining the original oak beams and character of the building with a double height vaulted kitchen ceiling. The ground floor consists of a double height dining/kitchen, large dining table, a wood burner and fitted kitchen with a dish washer, fridge/freezer, gas hob and electric cooker. The kitchen is fully equipped including a dolce gusto coffee pod machine, cafetière, kettle, toaster and microwave. There is a bedroom with a Super King size bed and a wonderful view of the garden, shower room and washing machine under the stairs. A lounge with ample seating, smart TV, log burner which is perfect for the cosy autumn and winter evenings, at these times a basket of wood is supplied for your first night, further baskets of wood are available at minimal cost. Free WiFi is available. An open wooden staircase leads you to the second floor with two bedrooms, a double and a twin plus a shower room. These bedrooms have black out blinds and fans for the warmer days. Bed linen with beds made up and towels are provided. A travel cot (no bedding supplied) and high chair can be supplied free of charge on request. Outside the private enclosed garden is perfect for young children or your dog to enjoy. Soak up the sun or relax in the dappled shade of the tree or in the summer lounge, the garden is the perfect spot to view the dark skies. Also in the garden is a gas BBQ and a wood fired hot tub with wood supplied for your first use further baskets of wood are available at minimal cost. There is a games barn with a pool table, table tennis and table football, in the large garden is a boule court and the path to the swimming pool (June - September, solar heated weather permitting) with its own private sun terrace overlooking the countryside. Should you wish to bring a dog, the gite garden can be fully fenced for security. On occasions we may accept two small dogs, please request this before booking. The owners live in an adjacent property and are on hand should they be required however Guimondiere has been landscaped to offer everyone maximum privacy and tranquility. Guest access Whilst staying in Guimondiere Holiday Gite you will have exclusive use of the pool (June-Sept, weather permitting), enclosed garden, games room, hot tub/jacuzzi (open all year) with private parking. Please note there are no car charging facilities at the property. In the local town Villaines-la-Juhel there are several fast charging points. Other things to note We are dog friendly, but ask guests to be responsible and pick up waste. The garden will be fenced off for your dogs security, please do not remove the fencing. Outside of this garden your dog should be on a lead. Please do not leave your dog in the house unattended at any time, even if they are in a crate. Please note there are no car charging facilities at the property. In the local town Villaines-la-Juhel there are several fast charging points.
