The space Our Cabin is ideal for 2-4 guests. We've done our best to include everything you'll need for a comfortable stay. This is a true mountain getaway! We are located at 10,300 feet in elevation! The neighborhood: The neighborhood offers several great outdoor activities. There are two lakes in the neighborhood that are walking distance from the cabin. The St. Mary's Glacier trailhead is also just a short walk from the cabin. This is one of the most popular hikes in Colorado that takes you to a mountain lake and the St. Marys Glacier that you can walk on! We are just 30 miles from Loveland Ski Area, 10 miles from downtown Idaho Springs, and 20 miles from the Central City Casino District. Come see a concert at one of the most unique venues in the world - Red Rocks Amphitheater - which is just 30 miles away. If you are looking for a place to do everything Colorado has to offer this is the place. We are located an hour from downtown Denver, within 1.5 hours of Keystone, Breckenridge, and Winter park. We are also conveniently located off I-70 for easy access from Denver International Airport. Working from Home: The Cabin is equipped with Starlink internet. I often work remotely from the cabin without issues, but bad weather can affect the speeds at times. Video calling and downloading large files works great! Cabin Details: Sleeping: We have 1 bedroom, aka "The Loft" (IMPORTANT: You must be able to manage a steep spiral staircase to access the loft). The loft has a queen sized bed with a cozy quilt and plenty of extra blankets! A full sized futon is also in the loft (The futon mattress is high quality memory foam, and is comfortable for sleeping). The main floor has a set of cozy twin bunk beds. Kitchen: Enjoy a fresh cup of coffee in the morning, as you soak in the views of the forest and mountains. All basic kitchen essentials are provided: Including dishes, pots and pans, baking sheets, silverware, and brand new stainless steel appliances. The kitchen also comes with coffee and a coffee maker. Basic cooking ingredients are included as well, ie: spices and olive oil. Bathrooms: We have 1 bathroom with all the necessities such as: fresh towels, toilet paper, and other toiletries like shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. !!Please keep in mind this is a rustic style cabin and some features reflect this!! Guest access Guests are allowed access to the whole house. The property is large and you are free to explore. Please be advised however that the cabin is located on a mountain and the terrain is rocky and steep. Other things to note Keep in mind this is a remote cabin in the mountains and is susceptible to inclement weather. *AWD/4WD vehicles with WINTER TIRES are strongly encouraged from November through May due to our winter driving conditions. * The cabin is located at 10,300ft in elevation. Altitude sickness is unlikely, but is possible at this altitude. I recommend researching the symptoms of altitude sickness before arriving. * Internet provider is Starlink. It is the best available on the mountain! Speeds often exceed 200 MBPS. With any satellite internet, storms can interrupt the signal, but I generally have no issues even in inclement weather. CHILD PROOFING: Guests understand that no special efforts have been made to “childproof” this house, and accept the risk or harm to any children/infants accompanying them! PET PROOFING: Guest understands that no special efforts have been made to “Pet Proof” this house, and accept the risk or harm to any pets accompanying them! Other things to note: If it snows during your stay we have a company that will come around to shovel and plow. It is entirely possible that your car may get snowed in if there is a big storm. **We cannot offer refunds for any of these conditions.**
