The Chestnut Street Cottage
The Chestnut Street Cottage
Description
Originally a 1917 garage for a Ford Model T, The Chestnut Street Cottage is now a cozy retreat with all the comforts of home and inviting shared outdoor spaces. Read, rest, and reflect—or join our garden-centered rhythm. Sip wine by the fire pit, soak in the hot tub, or enjoy the flowers and veggie beds. The cottage is fully private, but outdoor areas are shared with our family, friends, and pups, creating a warm, welcoming environment you’ll love. The space Nestled in the heart of the river town of Sunbury, Pennsylvania, The Chestnut Street Cottage is surrounded by plenty to explore within walking distance or a short drive. Stroll the river walk, enjoy breweries, wineries, bakeries, dining, parks, antique shops, and more. Lake Augusta (the Susquehanna River) is perfect for kayaking, boating, fishing, or simply soaking in the views. Whether you’re here for a quiet getaway or attending a local concert or wedding, this is the perfect spot. Relax by the gas fire pit, unwind in the hot tub, or wander through lush flower beds. During the day, you may see us in the garden or walking our dogs—feel free to say hello and help yourself to veggies, herbs, and fruit from the garden when in season. Well-behaved pets are welcome (pet fee applies). After every stay, we thoroughly clean and sanitize the cottage—we’re cleaning fanatics and take pride in making everything just right for our guests. And at checkout, there’s no long to-do list: no stripping beds, no laundry, no vacuuming. Just enjoy your stay to the very end. We hope you’ll book your visit today! (2 night minimum on weekends) Guest access The entire cottage is completely yours to enjoy. Other things to note Second bed is located in the open loft area accessed by a ladder. We share our property with a few well-behaved dogs and a growing family. If you’re uncomfortable around dogs or occasional background activity, this may not be the best fit.
