“Petra Blue” Chania

Petra Blue is built on the ancient hills of the Akrotiri peninsula with a magnificent view of Crete’s Lefka Ori (white mountains) and Souda’s bay; the largest natural harbor in the Mediterranean. Its architecture merges with the natural beauty of the Cretan countryside. This is the ideal spot for a family or group of friends who are looking for a peaceful place to spend their holidays. Chania town is a 20’ drive and 5’ away from the airport. The space Petra Blue is composed of three bedrooms (each of them have their ensuite bathroom), a big living area which includes a working desk, a lounge area, dining area, reading area and bar/kitchen. There is also one extra toilet for guests. The house can host 6 guests (three double beds) + 1 guest (a couch in one of the bedrooms). Two of the rooms have their private balcony / terrace with seaside view. There is a large garden area with lawn, a nice stone-made barbecue area and a lower olive grove where the pool is. We can provide our guests, upon request, local products such as yoghurt, cheese, fresh eggs, honey, olive oil, fruits and vegetables from local farmers and have contacts with private chefs (gourmet or traditional local cuisine) in case you would like to organize a private dinner at Petra Blue enjoying the views from the garden. We can also share contacts for private boat rental, car/motorcycle rental (upon availabilities), diving, hiking guide and general advice about restaurants, bakeries, beaches and tours around Chania area. Cleaning service is offered complimentary once a week (including fresh towels, change of bed sheets and whole cleaning of the house indoor and outdoor), any additional requests should be made in advance and will cost 50 euros. You can request for more towels, pillows or bed linen for free and we are available at your disposal for anything you may need from us, we will be happy to help! Guest access Exterior areas of the property are situated on the ground floor and the private swimming pool is located on the lower grounds by the olive grove accessed by stairs. The upper part of the house unit, as well as the lower olive grove is reserved for the owners who live there and two donkeys. The pool (not heated) is open from mid-May until end of October. Other things to note We have two very special guests in our olive grove; two donkeys which are of great company to the owners and anyone visiting them.
