Villa Punta Lagno Il Melograno in Massa Lubrense, near Sorrento, is a charming villa with private infinity pool and personal access to the sea. Panoramic sun terraces see Capri, Punta San Lorenzo bay, and Sorrento Coast isles. You can rent the apartment at the second floor of the villa with your separate access. The space Seaside Pool Villa Il Melograno has been designed by the Italian architect Mario Rispoli. Its floors are hand painted Vietri ceramic tiles according to the ancient neapolitan tradition, and the furniture meets the Mediterranean style with a mix of antique and modern pieces. It is decorated with modern and antique traditional ceramics of South Italy. Modern painters complement the decor with watercolors, oils, temperas, and lithographs. In the entrance you find a living room with table, chairs, and sofa, which brings you to a large bright living/dining room with fireplace and television, table, chairs, sofa, and rocking chair. The living/dining room has direct access to the two panoramic terraces. From the entrance, the aisle introduces to bedrooms area. Here you find: 1 double bedroom with double bed and wardrobe, which has direct access to greatest terrace and 1 small en suite bathroom with toilet, bidet, washbasin, and mid bath; 1 single room with single bed, desk, and wardrobe, which has direct access to greatest terrace. In front of this room, you find: 1 single room with a bunk bed, desk, and wardrobe, which has direct access to the internal garden; 1 attached bathroom with toilet, bidet, washbasin, and bath. From the living/dining room you reach the kitchen, 1 single room with single bed and desk, which looks onto the garden of the infinity swimming pool; 1 attached bathroom with toilet, bidet, washbasin, and mid bath. The country style kitchen has direct access to the internal garden. It is equipped with a cooker with 3 gas burners and 1 electrical burner, electrical oven, microwave, kettle, dishwasher, and washing machine. The upper floor of the villa is equipped with hot/cold air conditioning for heating, and electrical water heaters. Guest access You can park your car very near your apartment. From the parking, you enter to the upper floor of the villa from the stairs on the right in the greenery which leads you first to the infinity swimming pool area and its sun terrace. Other things to note We opened an Airbnb account in 2017 and had many reviews. Unfortunately the owner of the house passed away in 2018 and we had to close the account because the owner had changed. We have now managed to reopen which is why there are no new reviews. These are our old reviews: We had an amazing time in Massa Lubrense! The city is just near Sorrento. The house was perfect for us! Federico and Flavia received us very well always very gentle and careful with us. They gave us very good suggestions where to visit and eat. It is important to say that I was traveling with my two daughters with 5 and 2 years old and there weren’t any problem with their stay in the house. I like to emphasize the very beautiful view of Capri and the incredible swimming pool where my children stayed most of the time. The sunset view from the house is very beautiful! Gorgeous views of the sea and Isle of Capri from the living areas and also the infinity edge pool. You can swim in the well-appointed pool, or walk down a private path and swim in the crystal clear warm sea water. We were very pleased with our stay and added another day – the best move we ever made. In addition, our hosts – Federico and Flavia – are genuinely kind people who are extremely helpful and invested in your well-being. We have used Air B&B in a number of countries, and we consider this apartment a “find.” It is now our preferred destination in Italy. The view from the terraces and the pool of the Bay of Sorrento and island of Capri were breathtaking. The villa was charming and just the right size, and although the drive up and down to the villa was….interesting, we loved the seclusion. We also loved the town of Massa Lubrense, with its small town charm and great food. Thanks to hosts Federico and Flavia for helping us to choose places to eat and arranging for the best boat tours ever with Angela and Luigi of the fishing boat Sparviere. Flavia answered all of my questions and arranged several activities for us including 2 days on a boat visiting Capri and Positano and swimming in the beautiful Mediterranean. She also arranged a cooking class in Sorrento and someone to come in and cook for us. Federico met us in the town square to show us how to find the Villa. Which we were very thankful for. The views and the pool were as amazing as the pictures showed (maybe even better). The house was immaculate and had everything you would ever need. We really enjoyed the welcome gifts – wine, coffee, milk, eggs and a yummy pistachio cake. Our only regret was having to leave. I have stayed in several (8 o so) Air BnBs and this was hands down my favorite. Was für eine glückliche Fügung des Schicksals! Frederico hat die Buchung sofort bestätigt und uns im Vorfeld angeboten, Ausflüge für uns zu organisieren. Am Ankunftstag erwartete er uns bereits in Massa Lubrense, um uns den Weg auf den letzten Metern bis zum Haus zu weisen. Bei der Führung durch die Wohnung überreichte er uns erst einmal einen großen Kuchen und präsentierte uns die Frühstücksutensilien, die er im Kühlschrank für uns deponiert hatte. Höhepunkt des Rundgangs war aber – tatata- als er die Fensterläden zur vorderen Terrasse öffnete. Vor uns tat sich im strahlendsten Sonnenschein ein Rundumblick auf Capri, Ischia und Procida auf. Die Terrasse war unser Lieblingsort fürs Frühstück. Als mittags die Sonne hochstand, gingen wir auf die schattige zweite Terrasse und kühlten uns nachmittags im Pool ab, in dem man den Eindruck hat, direkt auf Capri zuzuschwimmen. Einziger „Nachteil“ der Wohnung: Wir wollten gar nicht mehr weg und haben unser Ausflugsprogramm auf Positano beschränkt. Capri haben wir uns lieber ganz entspannt mit einem Glas Wein in der Hand von der Terrasse aus angeschaut.
