Authentic Sevillian house studio
Description
A studio located in an authentic Sevillian house from the early 20th century. Hydraulic floor, tiles from the 1929 Seville exhibition, 4m high ceilings with wooden beams and Andalusian patio, highlighting its operation, as a bioclimatic strategy. It is located in the monumental downtown neighborhood of San Lorenzo, 50m from Alameda de Hercules. It has a 1.35 bed and a 1.50 sofa bed. Fully equipped kitchen-office. Other things to note The Andalusian courtyard is an example of architecture with cultural connotations of the Mediterranean, originated by Roman and Muslim cultures, which apart from its aesthetic, decorative and cultural impact, is worth stopping to highlight its bioclimatic functioning, which allows intervening, directly or indirectly, cooling the building, as a proven bioclimatic strategy. The patio generates an atmosphere that contributes to a cooler microclimate in the house in warmer seasons, which reduces the energy needs that are so demanded in times of greater heat. In Spain, we talk about the Andalusian patio. This method of natural air conditioning is suitable for hot and dry climates, such as the summers of Seville, since at night the temperature drops a lot with respect to the temperature of the day, and during the day it rises to a great extent. In this obvious thermal jump, a temperature exchange occurs, in which by closing the outer perimeter gaps of the building and opening to the inside of the patio, it is possible for the fresh air to be conducted by convection towards the center of the building, traveling vertically from the patio and maintaining the high temperatures in a horizontal "plane" at the top of the patio. For centuries, houses have been built around a courtyard to fight against high temperatures. The courtyards, being interior enclosures flanked by perimeter galleries where the cold night air is pocketed, during the day yield the accumulated cool to the rooms and other interior spaces around the courtyard. Have you never had the experience of seeing this characteristic space of Andalusian architecture in situ, and of feeling the bioclimatic behavior of its aforementioned patio on hot days? Well, you have the opportunity to decide and come to know it, enjoy it and live it, now you can have the opportunity to enjoy the charm of the Andalusian patio.
