Hotel Piet Hein Eek Room 6

At Hotel Piet Hein Eek, you will sleep among art, design and antiques. Opened in 2021 by renowned Dutch interior designer Piet Hein Eek in his former Philips factory hall, the hotel's 13 rooms are each decorated with art by a different artist. Room 6 features art by artist Jan van der Ploeg. This standard room (30 m²) includes an Auping king-size bed with Yumeko bedding, Aesop toiletries, shower and kitchenette and TV. The space All rooms at Hotel Piet Hein Eek are located on the third floor. The room has a private bathroom with bath and shower, toilet with toilet paper, towels, soap and shampoo. The room also has a kitchenette with electric kettle. In addition, the room is also equipped with air conditioning, heating, a television and a desk. The room is accessible by lift and is also wheelchair accessible. Guest access On the second floor of the property, you are welcomed in the lobby where the kitchenette serves as both reception, bar and kitchen. It is the hotel's living room where we do our utmost to offer you not only a special experience but also, or perhaps especially, warmth and security. The restaurant is integrated into the lobby and is part of the Wonder Room. Here you can get lost among art, antiques and design. French doors give access to a large roof terrace with plenty of greenery, shade and shelter. Also part of the Wonder Room are 'The Night Watch', a meeting and breakfast room and an apartment. The Night Watch was created by Teun Zwets and is used at night by whoever keeps watch. The apartment will be a full part of the Wonder Room and an example of how to live with art, antiques, design and music. The apartment and the meeting room are connected by a large pivot door. When the rooms are not in use, the doors are open and become a natural part of the Wonder Room. On the fourth floor you will find our rooftop bar DAKBAR. The machine room used to house a lift engine the size of a Fiat 500. When we (unfortunately) had to replace the old lift for a new one, we were left with enough space for a bar. It has become a crazy and warm place to enjoy the panoramic view of the city and its green surroundings with a snack and a drink.
