They do not look into interior spaces. Additional Three Peak Basecamp Details: - Short walk to the gated neighborhood’s epic Canyon Falls, as well as the community public beach (Waterfalls) - We are close to the railroad tracks and you will hear the historic Great Northern Railway traffic as it goes by the Lodge. The train schedules continue through the night, and we typically hear about 3 - 7 trains over the course of a full day. This is great fun for kids and for the ambiance of a real Cascades getaway, but note that the trains can be heard from inside. - In the winter months our neighborhood roads are well-plowed. Nonetheless, All-wheel drive and 4-wheel drive vehicles or bringing chains is recommended as we can't predict snow and ice storms and road conditions in those times can be tough, even with the plowing. Given we're in a remote mountain area, these storms can also cause trees to fall on power lines and power (and wifi) outages can occur. - Free WiFi, network details differ for each cabin, see welcome packet Always feel free to reach out with any concerns or questions. We're happy to tailor a recommendation list for local hikes, eats, adventures specific to you and your party! We are Julie and Dan, a husband and wife team, and we're excited to make sure you have a great stay. Some of the most popular hiking and skiing in Washington State are a few short miles from our cabin's front door. We're also located between the North Cascades National Park and the Mt Rainier National Park. You might have seen us before featured by The Cabin Chronicles and seen us mentioned on Y! and Flipboard! Hikes: - Heybrook Lookout Trailhead (2.1 miles from us) - Lake Serene & Bridal Veil Falls Trailhead (3 miles from us) - Forks Of The Sky State Park (4.8 miles from us) - Barclay Lake Trailhead (10.0 miles from us) - Wallace Falls State Park (11.4 miles from us) - Blanca Lake Trailhead (17.0 miles miles from us) - Deception Falls (21.5 miles from us) - Iron Goat Trailhead (22.8 miles from us) - Evergreen Mountain Lookout (28.7 miles from us) Ski Resort: - Steven's Pass Ski Resort (29.2 miles from us) Favorite Eats: - Espresso Chalet (1.7 miles) - Zeke's Drive In (6.7 miles) - LouSki’s Deli / Skykomish Deli (13 miles) - Whistling Post Saloon (13.4 miles) - Mountain View Diner (9 miles) Airports: - Paine Field (46.2 miles) - Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (63.4 miles) The Canyon Falls neighborhood is double-gated and a great place to explore. Full-time residents and guests alike have access to its Public Beach at the end of the gravel road, with stunning views of Mt Index on a river rock beach. They also have access to the Canyon Falls, a glacial waterfall that would be tremendously popular if the public knew it existed and had access to it! We also have the active Great Northern Railway train tracks which adds to the PNW ambiance; we all love it. The neighborhood is safe for kids and dogs. It's a treasure. We run into neighbors from the other side of the river (from a different neighborhood) who mention all the time that they wish they could find property inside our gated community as it is both nicer and sunnier! The parking area at Three Peak Lodge can fit 2 cars, and Three Peak Cabin parking area can fit around 3 - 4 cars, including RV parking (there is no RV hook-up though). You can get around the neighborhood on foot for some great dog walks, or drive through as well.
