Our home is our haven of peace, entirely updated a few years ago, but in keeping with the spirit of its original 1860 Haussmannian design: ceiling moldings, parquet floors, and a decorative fireplace. We are steps from the best foodie street in Paris (rue des Martyrs) for food shopping in the heart of what feels like a village, just below Montmartre and Sacré Coeur. The space You will find a classic Parisian family apartment with an entryway with full mirror, a bench for sitting down and putting on shoes, and coat rack. A guest toilet and full bathroom (with bathtub, double sink and washer and dryer) are immediately off the entry way. The rest of the apartment is separated into the day and night spaces. In the day space, you have a large, modular living room with furniture that you can move around for more intimate sitting space or push back for a large living space, all in a classic Parisian setting with ceiling moldings, hardwood floors and a fireplace (currently not working). Off to the side, you have a full wall, fully equipped, open kitchen and a classic marble dining table. Light from the three French windows fills the space from sun-up to sun-down, with an unobstructed view up and across the boulevard 100m away. In the night space, you have 2 bedrooms and 1 bedroom/office, with two closets (one walk-in). One bedroom has a crib and attached shower room and black-out shades, and faces the building courtyard. The other two face the street. All rooms have Dyson fans or fans/purifiers for overall comfort. Other things to note We are a no-smoking, no-shoe household.
