Beach, Restaurants, Surf Shop, All Minutes Away.... We have 2 two bedroom apartments located on the ground floor and 2 one bedroom apartments on the top floor. Each apartment has its own kitchen, bathroom and private porch. Each bedroom has queen size bed, build in closet, A/C, ceiling fan and security safe. The apartment has its own electric water heater, cable TV, telephone and there is wireless internet. Kitchen has fridge with freezer, electric 4 burner stove with oven, coffee maker, blender and all you need for cooking. There is off street parking and a once a week maid service available for our guests. We have also recently installed security cameras on the property and monitored alarm systems in each apartment for our guests added security and safety. So come enjoy the beauty of Playa Grande, home of the Las Baulas National Park, where you can enjoy your days on the beach sunbathing, swimming, surfing or experience the beauty of the giant leatherback turtles on one of the night tours that takes place on the beach right in front of the apartment building. Or book one of our daily trips to close by volcanoes - Arenal or Rincon de la Vieja, where you can go for hike, canopy tour, enjoy hot springs or visit hummingbird garden. A little more information on Playa Grande, Costa Rica: What to Bring Flip-flops, sneakers, beach towels, flashlight, lightweight clothing, basic toiletries, deck of cards or travel games, beach toys, reading materials, sunglasses, beach hat and of course a few bathing suits. Sunscreen, shampoo, toothpaste, etc. are available for purchase in the market in town if you decide not to bring your own. Security We have security gates as well as, alarm systems in each of our apartments; however we still recommend that you leave unnecessary valuables at home. If you do need to bring your computer, Ipads, jewelry, etc…recommend having them insured. Unfortunately robberies and thefts do and can happen. We also recommend that you never leave anything unattended in your car or on the beach. Whether you are going out for 5 minutes or 5 hours please close and lock all windows and doors and set the alarm. Cash / Credit. Virtually all vendors accept both American dollars and colones. Small bills (under 100) are recommended. Some businesses will accept 100s for larger purchases. Not all businesses accept credit cards and some charge an extra fee (3%-18%). Traveler’s checks are not widely accepted and can be difficult to change at the bank. Restaurants The Food in Playa Grande is excellent, make sure you visit all the restaurants in our small community, they all have have something unique to share with you. Make time to hike over to Playa Carbon, the black sand beach, it is great for swimming and snorkeling. Have Fun! All the food is local and fresh, fish straight from the Sea. Pura Vida. No Car is needed, there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, but it is nice to be Mobile. The security deposit is $200.00 cash due when you check in.
