Enjoy convenience, comfort, and entertainment just 15 minutes from downtown & 20 minutes to skiing and beaches. Here's what we think makes our home special: 📍Location: - Private access to 2,000-acre all-sports Duck Lake. **Please read, we are NOT directly on Duck Lake, 2 minute walk. Due to our address, Airbnb thinks we are directly on the water so it automatically states we are right on Duck Lake** - Subtle lake views from the patio. - 2 minute stroll down to the access point & dock for water activities. 🛏️ Accommodations: - Thoughtfully decorated with 3 bedrooms plus a cozy den/bedroom area with 2 twin sized stackable beds that can be turned into a queen. - Upper level has 3 queen beds with Helix Mattress’s + Additional Queen Tempur-Pedic pull-out sofa in living room (dark grey couch in photos). - Lower Level has a comfy king bed + 2 twin beds that can be turned into a queen - Two renovated baths (one on each floor) 🎱🛶Entertainment: - Fire pit for evenings & roasting marshmallows - Game room loft above garage with a 6-foot pool table, tv with game console, Pac Man ARCADE GAME and lounging area with bean bags (new 2024). *Game room is not heated, small space heater* - 4 Brand new kayaks - kayak Duck Lake or one of the local rivers (be sure to check out guidebook for recommendations). - Cornhole set! - Tons of board/card games & books for added enjoyment. 🏡Layout: - Perfect for families or groups to sprawl out & have their own space. - Separate floors with fully equipped kitchen & living room on each level. - Huge wrap around porch upstairs, additional porch with seating downstairs. 📺 Amenities: - Each kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for summer cook outs - you won’t have to worry about space in the fridge or ovens since you will have two! - Modern conveniences like a grill, 50-inch TVs, washer and dryer - Tons of water gear including life jackets with sizes for the whole family, beach towels, lounge chairs, huge foam floating water pad, beach wagon, beach umbrella & more. - Central A/C, fans in almost every room. 🗺️ Surroundings: - Downtown Interlochen, Interlochen State Beach, Interlochen for performing arts, delicious restaurants, coffee shops, putt putt & more all within 5-10 minutes of the home - 🌆Downtown Traverse City 15 minutes -⛷️Skiing at Mt. Whether you want to picnic at Empire Beach, hike the Dunes, golf at Acadia Bluffs, go winery hopping, or head up to Fish Town in Leland for the best white fish you’ll ever eat, everything is within a half hour or so from the house. It’s hard to decide if we like hanging out in interlochen more. There’s something so homey and welcoming about it that will have you coming back every year - especially for Oaky’s wings! Other things to note ❕Long term stays: For longer term stays from September-May, please message us directly. 🐶Pet friendly! 1 dog maximum, no cats. Dog must be leashed, potty trained & cannot go on neighbors property. $150 pet cleaning fee (will be requested through Airbnb after booking if you did not mark a pet in your reservation). BREED AND SIZE MUST BE DISCLOSED PRIOR TO BOOKING. 🚤Boating info: You are welcome to bring down boat and jet ski rentals, please message us ahead of time with directions to launching at Interlochen State Park. Water toys must be tied up to the dock. We do not have a boat lift. Our guest dock is the half wooden half aluminum dock with sign “Duck Lake Escape” ⚠️PLEASE NOTE: -Our dock is brought in at the end of the season. It is taken out the last weekend of September (weather depending this could be sooner). -The stairs inside connecting the two levels are steep. Please use the hand railing. -The game room above the garage does not have A/C or heating. -The bedroom with the stackable twin bed is on the smaller side and is best suited for kiddos. We do have an additional queen bed in one of the bedrooms and a queen temper pedic pull out in the living room to host your group comfortably.
