Our garden-level studio is the lower portion of our home located on a quiet corner in the centrally located Whittier neighborhood. Surrounded on two sides by park/field space, we're within walking distance of the popular RiNo district, City Park and more ! Once inside the shared back entrance of the house, you’ll go down a few steps to access your private entrance to your own self-contained, studio space featuring a kitchenette and a newly renovated, private bathroom. The space The main room has a large, open concept living area with an exposed brick wall and two south-facing windows that provide a lot of natural light. There is a full/double sized bed and a sofa bed for an additional guest (it’s a bit smaller than the average single bed). If this is not ideal for your group, we are happy to provide a double-sized inflatable mattress that has seen very little use (at no additional cost). The space also features a stocked kitchenette with hot plate, mini fridge, microwave, and Kueurig coffee machine, a smart TV with fire stick, your favorite streaming subscriptions and a DVD player. The space has WiFi, a small table and two chairs for the perfect remote work setup. There is an attached bathroom that was completely renovated at the start of 2023 with a generously sized walk-in shower. We keep the bathroom stocked with some extra toiletries in case you missed something while packing. Guest access The studio unit is the bottom floor of our home. The entrance to the unit is through a gate into a shared patio, and through the back door of the house. You'll enter into the shared mudroom/laundry room and walk downstairs to find your own private entrance to the studio with a lockable door. We keep the door connecting the mudroom and our living space upstairs closed and locked at all times so as to give guests as much privacy as possible. You will have access to the shared back patio, which includes a grill, table and chairs. The patio is shared only with us but we will likely not use it while you're here. Other things to note We live upstairs from the unit so you may hear footsteps or our cats chasing each other. We have provided a white noise machine beside the bed as they sometimes get the early morning zoomies! The field across the street is sometimes used for high school sports games or practice, which typically end early evening. Taller guests may have to duck when descending the staircase into the suite. There is a support beam that is only about 6 feet above one of the stairs. Check out our guidebook featuring our favorite local cafes, restaurants, breweries and places worth visiting.
