Private camping, compost toilet and cold shower

Our campsite is the perfect place for couples, family groups or larger gatherings. You have space to spread out across the field with three large open grass pitches. This listing is for the exclusive use of the whole field. There is a washing up hut with space for setting up cooking equipment, a mains cold water tap, a composting toilet and a cold shower. The space Our campsite is nestled in the quiet countryside on the edge of Blackawton village. There are beautiful views from all corners of the field and with clear skies the most spectacular stargazing on offer by night. The field is bounded by footpaths and agricultural land so you do hear walkers passing by and sometimes machinery being used in the fields. The field can accommodate 1 - 20 people. There are fire pits with log seating. We have a skillet pan to cook directly over the fire and a Weber bbq for your use during your stay. This is a listing for a camping pitch only. You will need to bring all of your own camping equipment. Greenslade’s Environmental Commitments After a period of farming crops we have returned the field to a wild grass meadow. We want to further enhance the natural environment through planting native trees and shrubs which will provide a haven for local wildlife whilst offering a space for visitors to enjoy getting close to nature. We have planted over five hundred tree saplings so far, many of which are now clearly visible in the field. We have left large areas of grassland untouched for the past four years and these ever changing areas are now carpeted with wild flowers and many varieties of grasses. Your visit will help to fund our next project which is to create a large pond.
