(2 queen-size beds and a bunk bed. Bottom bunk is double-size; can sleep an adult. The top bunk; children up to 12 years. ) The space Located on 7 acres, with no nearby roads and the best views on Deer Island, the accommodations include two bedrooms with "Endy" mattresses and linen, accommodating up to 4 adults and 3 children, a new modern bathroom and lots of space in case rain keeps you off the large, private deck. The accommodation has been intentionally built for indoor/outdoor living with double-wide doors and everything required for grill chefs to show their skills. There is a parking space for vans and cars, and trailers Guest access Entering through a private entrance from the shore facing deck area, all space on the lower level is dedicated to the guests' use. The one exception is the artist studio on the same level, which is not part of the rental area. A laundry room on the same level is available if required. The path and stairs to the lower level is lit at night. There are trails cut to the shoreline of the cove Other things to note The hosts are retired and understand the need for privacy and family time for guests. As such, guests can decide the level of interaction they wish to have from arrival to departure. "Texting" is an acceptable way to communicate any specific needs or information required during the visit. Small, well-trained pets are welcome. The art studio is off-limits for unaccompanied children - for everyone's well-being. It will be closed off by a gate, but it is available for adults to enter and open/close windows for comfort. The hosts have conversation-level skills in French. We ask that loads of dishes be washed in the laundry room sink or made accessible for the hosts to run through the upstairs dishwasher. There is an inflatable dinghy on the shore that can be used after receiving instructions from the host. The indoor/outdoor space provides cooking facilities consisting of a kitchenette with small appliances (see amenities for details) and a BBQ with a prep table, cooking utensils and pans, just outside the patio doors.
