Rivulet House is a beautifully renovated 100-year-old cottage set along the tranquil banks of the Stillwater River. The space Step into a bright, airy dining room filled with natural light from three skylights, and walk out onto the upper deck to take in serene river views. Downstairs, a cozy rec room opens directly to the lower deck—just a few feet from the water’s edge, perfect for casting a line for smallmouth bass or simply relaxing as the river flows by. Watch for bald eagles, blue herons, hawks, and songbirds that frequent the area. The Stillwater River is both a National Water Trail and a State Scenic River—the only river in Ohio to hold both designations. In summer, you’ll see kayakers and canoeists gliding along the water, and we’re happy to connect you with local outfitters for your own paddling adventure. Conveniently located just 8 minutes from Dayton International Airport and less than a mile from Miami Valley Hospital North, Rivulet House is also a short 20-minute drive to downtown Dayton and the University of Dayton. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire house, with the exception of one storage closet and one kitchen cabinet. Other things to note The house is 760 sqft on the first level with a rec room and work space in the walk-out basement. The bathroom and bedrooms are small, but the decks are roomy. The stairwell leading to the basement is narrow. The house is located on a quiet dead-end street, but is close to the road and has nearby neighbors. The I-70 bridge can be seen farther down the river and some noise can be heard from the highway; it does not interfere with our use or enjoyment, but I want guests to be aware. No more than 2 cars are permitted - zoning requirement. The house is not suitable for mobile children under age 6 due to the proximity of the river. The bunk room has a twin bed over a full bed. The weight limit on the top bunk is 200 lbs. A fishing license is required to fish.
