To get around the hotel zone taxis are readily available, or for a more affordable option, I prefer to use the red shuttle buses arriving every few minutes just outside the resort which are super convenient. These buses take you along the entire hotel zone, where you can find shopping malls, restaurants, and other public beaches and even into downtown Cancun. Other things to note It's a good idea to bring bug spray, especially during the rainy season from late August to November.
