Old private house guest house Niji no Ma

It is one room Niji no Ma of an old folk house guest house, which is a 3-minute walk from Kamakura Station. We renovated an old private house that was built more than 80 years ago and opened it as an artist hotel, which is rare in Japan. With no TV or PC, why not enjoy the luxury of surrendering yourself to the slow flow of time and taking a deep, gentle breath? The space It is a Japanese-style room that dares to retain the original structure of an old private house. If you want to enjoy the atmosphere of an 80-year-old traditional house as naturally as possible, we recommend the Niji-no-ma on the second floor, which has been left untouched. Although it is a 6-tatami room, there is an alcove decorated with tiger paintings and a bay window-like space, making it a spacious room. A Japanese-style room that retains the good old appearance of a Japanese house, as if you were visiting your relatives or grandmothers house. It is a room where you can enjoy yourself in a way that is unique to a Japanese-style room. You can barely put 4 futons. The room full of futons reminds me of my childhood camps and camps. From the window, you can see the trains entering the station and the platform, giving you a different feeling of traveling. There is a futon in the closet, so please feel free to use it. Also, the beautiful fittings that have been used with care while loving the old are a must-see. Fittings made by old craftsmen that are impossible to reproduce today. The window glass is particularly beautiful, and the atmosphere changes depending on the color of the light that shines in the morning and evening, and you can enjoy the beauty of an old Japanese house. Guest access shared space In the shared space, a small refrigerator, coffee maker, electric kettle, various tea bags, chopsticks, spoons and forks, etc. are available for guests to use freely. In addition, there are two benches installed, which are also used as a common room, but please refrain from disturbing other customers, such as talking loudly until late at night. Other things to note Check-in/Check-out Rooms are available from 16:00. Check-in is between 16:00~22:00. Check-out time is 11:00. * Please let us know in advance if you will be checking in late.
