"Mooiheuwel" is a three bedroom house located on the family farm, Wagenpad in the Sandveld. It offers a peaceful and private retreat for up to six guests in three bedrooms, with two bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. The cottage is an ideal getaway for families and anyone looking to escape the rush of the city and immerse themselves in the beauty of the Sandveld. The farm has hiking trails and beautiful scenery. There are also Cape Mountain Zebra, Bontebok, and Springbok on the farm. The space The first bedroom is furnished with a queen-sized bed and an ensuite bathroom with shower. The second bedroom has a double bed and opens up into the garden. The third bedroom has two three-quarter beds and leads from the living room. The cottage has two bathrooms, one of which is ensuite to the first bedroom and the second bathroom leads from the living area and has a bath. The heart of the cottage is its kitchen, which is fully equipped for self-catering with gas stove and dishwasher. There are two wood-burning, cast iron fireplaces (one of which is an old stove) which offers warmth during cold winter nights. The house has both a Northern and Southern stoep with a comfortable seating area and overlooks the manicured garden. You can curl up on the day bed with a good book or a glass of wine. From the kitchen into the gardens, you will enjoy uninterrupted views of the mountain and there a designed braai area under the manatoka trees. Guest access Guests have access to the cottage. Guests will also have walking and cycling access to the entire farm. The farm has over 15km of established hiking and mountain biking trails. Other things to note This cottage is on a working farm in a wilderness area. There are cattle, horses and wild antelope and other wild animals on the farm. Guests should take this into account and practice caution of wild animals.
