Guesthouse in Cobble Hill

Our 300 sq. ft. cottage is situated on a 2.5 acre property where we reside. The location is perfect for those who want to have a place to relax after exploring the local vineyards, farmers’ markets, parks, beaches and walking trails. The cottage’s style mimics that of the main house, which is about 60 feet away from the cottage. We respect your privacy, and will leave you to yourselves. We love meeting new people and are LGBTQ+ friendly! The space The cottage is small but has everything you need for a relaxing few nights’ stay. The sleeping area has a queen sized bed, with reading lamps affixed to the wall. There’s a small closet with hangers, that also includes the on-demand hot water system. The bathroom has a shower, but no bathtub. The kitchenette has a small sink, toaster, microwave, kettle, air fryer, electric skillet, drip coffee maker, French press, and bigger-than-a- bar-fridge refrigerator with freezer compartment. A rice cooker is available, please ask. We can provide an ironing board and iron if you need them. We cannot provide a conventional oven, or a cooktop, as our insurance does not allow it. The living room area has two comfortable leather recliners, and two wooden TV tables that can be used for indoor dining. Between the chairs is a small electric fireplace, which can have just "flames" for ambiance, or heat on as well. The 42” Smart TV can be watched from the bed, or the living area. Roku is available for you to use, and you can also sign into your own Netflix and other streaming accounts. The large windows have blinds, however they do not block out all light, so if you are sensitive to this in the early mornings, you may want to bring eye masks. Outside is a table with umbrella for al fresco dining, and comfortable chairs with foot rests. Guest access The cottage, and outdoor seating area next to it, and parking area are accessible to the guests. The fenced area for our dogs is not, as we have one canine who likes to escape. If you wish to meet our dogs, we would be happy to introduce you. They are friendly, and like to meet new people too! Other things to note We don’t provide breakfast but do provide coffee, regular and decaf (upon request), an assortment of teas and hot chocolate, and a milk of your choice for them. Salt, pepper, oil and vinegar are provided. We also provide a welcome basket of assorted snacks, and a few beverages in the fridge. Our well water is perfectly safe to drink, however it sometimes has a cloudy appearance. There is a brita type water pitcher in the fridge for drinking water if you prefer. We share the outdoors with many creatures, including raccoons, bears and sometimes even cougars, so it’s important that no food or garbage is left outside.
