Description

Situated on the south west tip of the Peak District and just 8 miles from Alton Towers Resort. Once a former coaching Inn, it keeps its original and unique charm, good sized garden and original bar area still in the hub of the property. Sleeps up to 34 in 13 bedrooms & 11 en suites / shared bathrooms. Dog friendly, we charge an additional £30 PER DOG for the duration of your stay and can accept 4 dogs Fabulous family holiday house, not a party venue. The space Spread over three floors, the light and airy thirteen bedrooms are all a good size (except one single room which is more compact) with a mix of king sized beds/twins and a few extra bunk beds. There are a total of 9 en suites and 2 shared bathrooms. The spacious kitchen is equipped with ample storage, plenty of crockery, cutlery, pot and pans it is well stocked with all the mod cons. It makes it very easy self catering for large groups. The dining room offer flexible layouts for 30 guests in a lovely open plan space for group meals with the original Cruck'd beams and high ceilings . You can turn it into a cinema room with viewing on the 72 inch wall mounted TV. There is alternative dining space for more informal meals just off the kitchen. There is so much space throughout the ground floor, with the main feature being the original bar area. Here, you can gather around the wood burning stove, serve your own drinks and perch on a bar stool. There is plenty of glassware, wine fridges and even an ice machine behind the bar. Leading off the bar area, just a couple of steps down opens into the games room with pool table and dart board. In addition, you can relax in a cosy lounge area with armchairs and comfy sofas. There is a large parking area to the rear of the property for up to 30 cars that leads onto a good sized lawn area - ideal for ball games and relaxing. There is a 7kw smart electric vehicle charging point near to the side entrance door (minimal charges apply) Guest access Exclusive use of the self catering accommodation Other things to note Sleeps 30 adults and up to 34 if there are children. Each bedroom offers flexible options that can be made up as twins or doubles so you can pick and choose your layout to suit. You need to have made your request two weeks in advance as the beds cannot be changed upon arrival as there is no staff on site. We provide each guest with fresh towels. Plenty of private parking in a gated car park, easily accepting 30 cars If you are looking for a relaxing stay in the Peak District with plenty of country pursuits but are not looking for a party venue, this is the ideal property for your stay. We also accept well behaved Hen/Stag groups but please be mindful that it is not far from a village location. Please note that we are dog friendly at this property however, dogs must be kept under control at all times and never be left unattended. For your information, a maximum of 4 dogs are allowed on site if pre-arranged - they are welcome in all downstairs areas, but you will be expected to keep them out of the bedrooms and off the soft furnishings. We do charge £30 PER DOG for the duration of your stay. For the comfort of all guests, outdoor shoes are not generally worn on the carpeted area of the house, so don’t forget your slippers! Noise Policy - due to the quiet location, late-night noise must be confined to inside the building by 9 pm as neighbours are in close proximity. Please respect this. No fireworks, drones or Chinese Lanterns; you are on the edge of a National Park with wildlife and livestock close by. Wifi – we provide free wifi however, as the Peak District is in a beautiful rural location, sometimes there can be intermittent wifi signal that is beyond our control; we also hope you appreciate that we cannot guarantee wifi if there are technical issues out of our control. Please bring your own cot bed linen as this is not provided
