Your Private Paradise on the Beach ~ Fare Hotu

If you're looking for spacious accommodations in a peaceful tropical setting, this lovely home is right on the ocean on a 2-acre property surrounded by fruit trees & lush mountains. You’ll enjoy your own private beach area with clear turquoise waters & beautiful snorkeling right in front. Explore the lagoon with the kayaks, watch the sunset from the garden, enjoy the hot outside shower, sunbathe by day or stargaze by night, make a bbq in the firepit. It's truly a paradise! Car included. The space The 2BR, 2BA home sits up on a small plateau for beautiful views of the lagoon. It was built with imported hardwoods and recently refurbished. The large deck area at the front of the house is where you’ll end up spending a lot of time, with it’s magnificent views, sweet breezes, and a beautiful wooden dining table to enjoy meals at home. There are couches on the deck for relaxing. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed and bay window with a small desk for working remotely if needed. There is a large walk-in closet and the master bath has a spacious two-person bathtub and full length mirror. A big living room and kitchen area separate the two bedrooms, making them feel private, so it’s ideal for 2 couples or a family. The house can accommodate four people. We accept children from 10 years old and up. The second bedroom is lovely, with a queen bed, it’s own deck access, plus a full bathroom and the washing machine. But who wants to shower inside when there is a dreamy outside shower with hot water by the ocean with plenty of privacy and surrounded by fruits and flowers!? There is a cat that lives at the house, she stays outside but we don't recommend staying here if you are highly allergic to cats. The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped for cooking. Since we are eco-conscious and run a local non profit for the environment and animals, we provide you with eco-friendly soaps, receptacles for recycling and composting, and there is a quality water filter in the kitchen or natural spring water so that you don't have to purchase small plastic water bottles. The house comes with the use of a car. Because of our steep driveway, you need a 4-wheel drive vehicle to go up our road. Our Subaru XV is all wheel drive and has an automatic transmission to get you safely up and down our road. We will meet you at the airport/ferry with the car and a Use & Liability Agreement to sign. The property faces west, so you can enjoy the magnificent Tahitian sunsets each evening. Maybe even from the hammock that hangs above the water from the mango trees leaning over the lagoon in north corner of the property. If you’re here during whale season between July and October, you can even see/hear whales right in front of the house. We also have a 1-person & a 2-person kayak, and masks & snorkels & fins available to use and are stored in the old blue freezer under the house. For children we have books, crayons and coloring books, puzzles, card games, and more. There’s a swing over the water for the kids under the Hotu tree in front of the house. And a soccer ball and some yard games for families in the old blue freezer in the garage. Guest access You are welcome to explore the 2 acres around the house as you please. Right outside your door you can pick guavas, papayas, passion fruit, avocados, mango, grapefruits, limes, breadfruit, pineapples, and more! Nov-May is the high season for fruit, but there’s always something to eat right from the garden. The beach and orchard areas are private and only accessed from our property. My wife and I live in a smaller house on the property, so you will see us in the yard from time to time or when we are getting in the car or the boat… but we will give you plenty of privacy! We provide food if you want to feed her. We also have 3 adult dogs and 4 cats that live at our house across the garden. There is no fence between our house and yours, so you will see the dogs roaming around in the yard. It may not be the place for you if you don't like animals. They are all friendly and good with kids. We’ll introduce them to you on arrival. --We ask that you use MINERAL SUNSCREENS while staying with us in order to respect the live corals in front of the house. Mineral sunscreens are available at the supermarket in town, or we also have some for sale with us at home. Thank you for understanding! --Please take off your shoes before entering the house. :D --Only the people noted on your reservation are allowed at the house or on the property. --Due to social politics on the island we cannot host guests coming to Huahine to surf. --We ask that you don't fly a drone from our yard, it makes the dogs too excited, plus there are strict rules for drones in FP. --Please do not touch the corals or sea life, we are lucky to have a healthy ocean ecosystem in front of the house and we try to do what we can to protect it.
