The Dairy is a spacious, light and airy converted barn on the edge of a small hamlet of converted farm buildings, with stunning far reaching views of The North Downs. The tranquil setting with open skies is a perfect escape for relaxing, walking, or visiting the nearby historic treasures of Oxford, The Cotswolds, Marlborough and Hungerford. Deer, owls, hares and even a family of stoats are regular visitors joining the resident sheep in the surrounding fields. The space The Dairy is light and airy, all on one level with an open plan living area, high beamed ceiling and floor length windows. There’s a cosy wood burner for those chilly winter’s evenings (logs on the house) next to a comfy sofa. There are also some games tucked away in the sideboard. In the main bedroom the gorgeous Feather and Black bed is made up with beautiful white company bedlinen. The kitchen is surprisingly spacious and benefits from an electric oven, microwave, washing machine/dryer, fridge and freezer as well as locally made crockery. Guest access There is parking for two /three cars with access via country lanes and a private drive. A footpath is accessed right from the door towards the villages of Stanford in the Vale (approximately 40 minutes) or Charney Bassett with its lovely village pub ‘The Chequers’ (approximately 15 minutes). There is also a circular 8 mile walk. Other things to note Please note there are two friendly dogs at The Farmhouse, who may come and say hello. Babies are welcome. A travel cot and high chair can be provided by prior arrangement. The nearest shop is a five minute drive away in Stanford in the Vale and the market towns of Wantage and Faringdon are approximately 15 minutes drive away. At present there is no dishwasher at the property. Well behaved pets may be allowed by prior arrangement.
